The villain in Blackheart played by Wes Bently (the kid obsessed with plastic bags in American Beauty) and he seemed to be a very over-the- top villain. His cronies are all evil versions of the elements. One is made of dirt and worms, another seems like liquid while another is a ghost or air. They are all very comic book like as well. Blackheart sent his cronies to get the Ghost Rider and steal something back so they could have all the souls on Earth and Mephisto could get none. In one scene, he takes down a whole biker bar by himself. Reminded me much of Terminator's opening scene.

Now, Ghost Rider is freaking awesome. They really nailed the look, sound and tone of this. Much better efforts than Daredevil. The flaming skull was unbelievable looking and they were still months from finishing all the effects on the film. His bike is even cooler and responds when he whistles for it. Of coarse it leaves a line of fire wherever he rides since the wheels are on fire. His weapon of choice is his chain that he wraps around his jacket. Think Indiana Jones, except that he ignites it on fire and kills ghosts instead of Nazis. One scene I saw has Ghost Rider roll up looking for Abigor (Ghost crony). This guy flies around like a cloud of black smoke. Its very cool looking. He knocks the **** out of Ghost Rider picks him up and slams him into a car. What really struck me was the way Ghost Rider got off the car. It looked like that very cheesy over-acting with the body that they use in Power Rangers and even in points of Daredevil. But they aren't going for Batman Begins here.

I watched another scene in which they meet Ghost Rider in a depot. He shows up and kicks some ass. They drive a semi into him, obviously thinking he's dead. He reappears naturally and grabs one of the baddies. He says "Look into my eyes", for all you who don't know, Ghost Rider's eye sockets allow you to relive every horrible sin you've ever committed. The voice effects on Ghost Rider were again PERFECT. It doesn't sound like it came from this world. It doesn't sound like Nick Cage. He makes the bad guy scream so horrifically, you almost have sympathy for him when Ghost Rider fire chains his ass apart.

If you liked Nick Cage in Con Air, you'll love him in Ghost Rider. I personally don't care for Mr. Cage's southern texas, cajun drawl. But! The only scene I saw with Nick as Johnny Blaze was in a police interrogation room. They police couldn't figure out how all these criminals were being incinerated while Johnny's tire tracks were there. They can't pin anything on him and it seems like Johnny himself doesn't remember becoming Ghost Rider. A cop lights a cigarrette and the flame extends a few inches, away from Johnny. They look at him and replies with something like "That was wierd." its a pretty funny scene. My only gripe with Nick Cage as Johnny Blaze is his age. He's not a late 20's or early 30's guy. He is still trying to be, with his gelled hair and leather jacket. The overall vibe was that he didn't fit the role as others might have.

The word around the office is that GHOST RIDER's trailer will be attached to X3.

Yay!...I knew it was gonna be on X3...

I won't spoil the trailer for myself until the 25th!

That's got me even more excited. Sounds exciting and awesome.

I can't wait to see GR kick the crap out of someone, but really what I want to see most is him whiping someone with the chain.

****ing Awesome.

Excellent!
sounds nice and violent :D
so he kills one of the demons by whipping him w/ the chain? damn thats brutal...

And that seems to have come from someone who isn't a big fan of either Ghost Rider or Nic Cage, so if he's impressed...

Taking down a bar by himself, comparisons to Terminator, big thumbs-up for the voice, Penance Stare!! Wow. I cannot freaking wait!!!

:D

Man it sounds so great, I just can't wait for this movie, I hope the trailer hits the net shortly after X-Men is release. I'm so curious to see how he sounds.

AD, didn't get a chance to thank you for posting this info. Great find and great info. This is some of the first talk about actual movie moments and eveyrhing sounds brilliant. I'm very excited about the voice most of all I think. I was excited when MSJ told us how it was being created and now I'm even more pumped to hear the final product.

I'm glad to hear that the fighting is pretty brutal too. Comparing it to Terminator is great for me because, that's what Ghost Rider basically is; An unstoppable beast of punishment.

Awesome stuff folks. Just awesome.

jesus...that sound very comic booky and sweet!!!!

Damn that sounds great and from an objective source from the sounds of things:up:
The Terminator reference pleases me as it does FH as that was something we talked about when this section had only 4 posters

got the impression that the reviewer was talking about Blackheart taking down a biker bar by himself. this would jive w/ that scene in the comic con trailer where BH was standing in a bar surrounded by burnt out corpses, which i guess he absorbed everyone's souls
we will see though...

is this movie aiming for an "R" rating?

that would be sweet!

nope...PG13.
hoever MSJ did say he was going to try and get away w/ as much as possible in terms of violence. personally im not too concerned about it since both the 70s and 90s series were geared towards a PG13 audience anyway

oh well:( ....

POTC was ok, violence wise. so was DVC....

All of that sounds awesome. I actually hate reading this stuff cause it makes me want to see it more and more.

I have one question though. From reading this I couldn't tell if the guy already saw parts of the actual movie or the upcoming teaser??? Can someone clear this up for me?

not a clue...i just hope this guy is legit. AICN has been targeted recently w/ fake movie reviews and rumors.
from what i gathered he actually saw the movie. too much detail to fit in a small teaser imo...

I'm not sure either SNSuck...

I thought at first that he was talking about the movie, but then at the bottom it mentions that the teaser is going to be with X3, so then I thought that he must've just saw the teaser, which is also quite possible.

I guess we'll find out in 6 days time.

hmm...guess it would have to be REALLY fast clips. kind of trailer where if you blink you'll miss it! heh
6 days is too long though....arggH!:bomb:

still a bit sad though......

Daredevil started originally as "R"... if anything GR should have been more likely to be "R" rated just like Punisher:(

That sounds amazing, only a few more days until the trailer. I can't wait. :D

Well since it is just a teaser i'm sure that anything they show will be fast. Everything that was said can happen in the minutes worth of teaser (after sony/marvel advertisments).
