New Devil May Cry 4 Hands on

Oh yeah, did anyone catch what it said under the picture of dante and Nero after you beat the game?

to me it said somthing like "A prequel..." i didnt catch the rest.

It's just a tease. You need to complete the game like 6 times to get the whole picture.

This is the first game for my 360 that I actually want to get all 1000 achievement points for. Then I found out that there is a mode that you die in one hit but enemies take normal damage. Now I haven't broken a controller since Shinobi for the ps2 when I was twelve but I'm thinking that I might need some extra ones just in case.

Hahaha!

I now own both versions of Devil May Cry 4, and I can tell you that the benefits of the twenty-one minute install are completely irrelevant. I spent over a hundred and twenty dollars to learn this bit of trivia. I love to hear talk online about load times which are "twice as fast" on the Playstation 3. It's very easy to double a small number.

If you have two cents, and then you find two more, that doesn't make you a rich man. The reality is that the loads are pretty slick on both platforms, and even spooled from the hard disc the loads are by no means instantaneous. The whole experience has been quite odd.
The advantage of the local cache in this case is entirely dismissible, which makes me wonder why they subjected users to it. There's no option to play the game without an install, which I think is telling.

It's definitely weird that they forced people to do it. It's not like it completely eliminates load times, I'm pretty sure most people couldn't care less about slightly faster loads. Load times this gen are relatively short anyway.

im having trouble on mission 3. everytime i use the devil bringer to zipline all over the room i fall down.

If you're playing on devil hunter and above, you'll have to wait and watch the things you grip on to pattern. They move back and forth so you have to time it right.

I, myself, am playing on Human mode, so I can get the hang of things. Anyone completed the game yet?

oic, i am playing on devil hunter by the way

I beat it yesterday and I'm on level 09 on my next playthrough.

Awesome. I just got it yesterday, and am on Mission 6.

What do you guys recommend upgrading first, in the Skills menu? I haven't upgraded anything yet, I've just been buying items.

When I bought this game, the girl at Gamestop actually said "I have to warn you, there's a mandatory 20 minute install before you play the PS3 version." I appreciated that she wanted me to know ahead of time, but at the same time, feel kind of like "If you can't afford 20 minutes out of your life to install a game, you need to manage your time better." I mean, it takes about 30 minutes to beat a mission anyway, so if you can't even spare 20 to install the game, there's not much hope of you ever beating the game without leaving your system on anyway. And if you're going to do that with the 360 version, I'd be a little leery of the system RRODing while you're gone, lol.

I liked the wait. Reading all the info was really mind opening and got me ready for this game. I didn't know Nelo Angelo was actually Vergil. That surprised me quite a bit.

I'm not saying the 20 minute thing is insane and long and teh stupid.

I'm saying it shouldn't be mandatory when it doesn't make that big of a difference. It's almost like they forced it just to be like "Look at the PS3 can do!" I'm sure there are plenty of people who would rather not waste a gig of their memory just to cut off 3 seconds of loading.

Load times now-a-days are practically nothing compared to what they used to be, anyway.

I just saw a trailer for it over the weekend.. hoorah!
