NEW full TRAILER!!!

Certainly looks interesting...

Seeing asthough it is leaked I expect it to be gone when I wake up in a few hours :D

i don't like the song.

overall, i thought how they show each girl's 'quotes' and their headshots was awkwardly done. but i like the second half of the trailer, however. There's too much of a buildup to leads to the good stuff.

and sam jackson..omg...I don't know..

I bet Will Eisner's turning over in his grave...R.I.P. Eisner.

Looks pretty trippy. As with all films with Miller's name attached, the cinematography is awesome.

And was that Mendes that said the "Shut up and bleed already" line? It surprisingly impressed me, considering I always thought she was very bland in other movies. The delivery was nice. Reminded me of Pfeiffer as Catwoman.

Building on that- it looks really stupid from that trailer. It looks even less like Eisner's Spirit than I could have imagined.

watching it again, i still think the intro for each girl was done in an awkward manner. the rest is fine.

i think every comic book author would love to be interpreted by frank miller...
he has a very strange view to things.

i like what i see so far.

I wasn't big on it. The first half was okay, but like mentioned, the way it was done was awkward. And it just seemed like a really shoddily put together trailer.

Yeah, it was awkward and made it more about the women then I imagine it is--still looking forward to it, Macht looks good as Spirit, the girls are obviously grand, and Sam Jackson's a bloody madman.

Well it's gone now...

Maybe it's for the best that trailer was pretty horrible.

well that was a real kick in the balls. Half of it is wasted showing us teaser posters we've already seen(and what the rest of the movie going world will eventually see in their theaters BEFORE this trailer hits theaters). The music sucked, and completely changed the tone from what was given off in the last one, which seemed more like a gritty, but fun noir/action/comic book film. Maybe it's just me, but the use of pop music(as in music performed by bands) really killed it. It seems they're pissing on The Octopus as well. A Master of disguise is one thing. Hiding your face from the world is one thing. Dressing up in as many colorful costumes as you can just because you can, and having no gripes about showing your face, is a different thing entirely. Sure, in the sequels they can cast someone else as The Octopus to reinforce the disguise elements, but it's been disappointment after disappointment hasn't it? "Maybe they'll digitally make the Spirit blue" Nope. "Maybe they'll digitally black out The Octopus's face" So far? Nope.

That said, i've become VERY disappointed with this film. It no longer looks like Eisner's work. At All. It's Frank Miller. And where i'd be excited on the flip-side because of that(as i do tend to enjoy anything Miller does, just because it's him), such is not the case with this film. I wanted to see WILL EISNER'S SPIRIT. Not Frank Miller's. He can do all the fancy angles and copy comic panels that he wants, he's still failed at adapting WILL EISNER'S character. To hell with what Miller's said. Give me nostalgia. Give me colorful, blue suits that take me back to another time, give me mystery, action and suspense and make it a freakin' 1940's period piece(because face it, period pieces kick ass). Give me 2 hours of fun. And for 10 bucks a ticket at my movie theater, quality and fun is all i want.

It looks good, but I don't really like the focus on the women. Granted, I LOVE the women of this film, but it's called THE SPIRIT for a reason. The general public has no idea who the **** he is, so they need to get a sense of what he and the universe he inhabits is all about.

What was that supposed to be. I'm usually in favor of not giving away plot in the trailer, but that really needs some Spirit flavor in it to tell people what he's about.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. Hopefully now that this has been pulled they'll take that into consideration and maybe do one focusing on the plot, or at the very least make this one less awkward.

Though I personally think that the trailer looks cool. I have to agree....this isn't Eisner's SPIRIT. It's Frank Miller's....and yeah...even though it's in color...it still looks somewhat like Sin City. Come on Miller, give us something new....
