One of the few comedies coming this fall that looks like it actually has potential. The fact that it isn't a multicamera piece of crap that's been laugh-tracked into oblivion certainly helps.

I'm definitely checking it out.

Wow, this looks very good. I think I saw the end of a commercial on tv last night and didn't know that was Deschanel. It caught ym eye for some reason. Maybe the fact it was Zoey Deschanel in glasses.

This looks pretty unique to me. And the writing seems great.

After not being able to go a commercial break on that channel without hearing about how amazing this new show was I thought it was hilarious that it got canceled so quick.

Fox's New Girl Finds Love With Justin Long

Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl is about to get lucky.

The upcoming Fox comedy has snapped up Justin Long to play a recurring love interest for Deschanel’s adorkable Jess. Long’s character, Paul, is a music teacher, which makes him the perfect guy for Jess, who likes to sing aloud to herself.

The actor makes his first appearance in the season’s sixth episode and will stick around for two more. Okay, so maybe it won’t be true love forever.

The guest stint marks a return to TV for Long, who mostly does feature films (Going the Distance, Drag Me to Hell) these days. His big break came in the NBC series Ed, opposite Tom Cavanagh and Julie Bowen.

New Girl stars Deschanel as a quirky gal in her twenties who moves in with three guys following a nasty breakup. The series premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 9/8 c.

I'm with Mike, Lone Star was great.

As for this show, it looks...twee. I might give it a shot, but right now it looks to me like it's trying SO hard to make the main character "adorkable" that's gonna come across more annoying than anything else. But we'll see.
