The Dark Knight New Joker Message!!! (WSS/It's All Part of the Plan)

thesushi, I was noticing the Federal Reserve thing, as well. I can definitely see why the Joker would want us to help him rob them. But this is real life... I'm sure we all don't want to get arrested for shenanigans inside/outside of them.

So what else could we do with them?

Should we just wait until the 3 days are over or should we be doing something?
What are those portraits on the wall telling us?

that's what we're supposed to work on. Money was the first hint. The fact that all the cities are Fed Reserves are two. Step three... hmm.

We're not going to be actually at a bank or a reserve bank. But we could be "online" at a bank, the Gotham National Bank is a good idea for our participation after those in the cities do their part.

Bank robberies are now supposedly done online, and the Joker knows this. So he's probably got a plan to simultaneously rob all 12 cities at once through maybe Gotham's National Bank system. If everything points at money, I'm thinking a robbery of codes and stuff to break each city's system, you log into the bank online, and hack hack hack.

Question is, we haven't seen an update from GNB recently, but we do know of http://www.gpdmcu.com/images/network.jpg which means gpdmcu will release some sort of network link of organized crime, and maybe a clue to how the last game and this game will work together.

Has anyone got the names of all of those portraits? All names for people with their pictures on the wall?

EDIT: Oops, sorry. It was done. Just checked the Wiki.

Yes. check the wiki in my signature line :)

Hey Q, any leads on the international city tie-ins? I figured the best way to work on this is to basically leave the forums for a couple hours and go in fresh.

So I was noticing all the presidents names are street names and all located near the Fed reserve bank in that city and since all the presidents are on some form on money. I think we may be going to the bank to open a lock box with the next clue?

Ok, so here are some of my thoughts on this. Yes, this may be a little long of a post:

First, I don't think Monday is going to be another prize hunt, at least not in the vein of the Cakes or Bowling Balls. In the Cake hunt, there were 22 American locations in 19 cities. In the case of the Bowling Balls, 22 American Cities and 6 locations in 4 cities over seas too. In this case we have 8 US cities and 4 international cities. It does not seem big enough. The Dentmobile hit 33 US cities. The photo submissions for Dent and Joker could come from anywhere. The Halloween challenge had 49 locations in 21 cities. All of the locational challenges involved much more than 12 cities just in the US. It does not at all seem likely to me that they would make this one so small when each one has been getting bigger instead.

Of course I know that the Comic Con scavenger hunt was different, but that was at a Comic Con, which is no happening on Monday. No, this feels like something entirely new to me, and probably web based. After all, the whole point of this viral is to keep involving more and more people, increase the hype, increase the participation, and increase the interaction. It wouldn't make sense to pull back to less than half as many locations now and cut so many out. Web based let's all in on the deal, and creates more buzz than such a limited locational set. But what could that mean?

Your guess is as good as mine. It could mean that more photos will be added with more locations, and it really is an on the ground hunt. In that case, these cities don't necessarily mean anything right now. If it is web based though, it means the cities are a clue like we thought all along. It could be another collection of letters if there are photos of things that connect the city, politician, and anything else. It could be that there is some sort of code to it all. The comment about the two non-presidents being the first and last and looking like book ends could be relevant. It could be that there is some sort of meaning to the currency or there could be something beyond what is discussed so far. What about their birth and death dates corrisponding to some sort of location/code in the city? I think we need to be less hung up on the idea of running to banks, parks, statues, stock markets, or anything else and look at what's here, in plain site.

That's my opinion anyway, you are free to do with it what you will.

The Federal Reserve in Dallas isn't near Cleveland in Dallas.

wow. knives out n' such :)

Been tracking around for different leads since last night, and as many as there are out right now. I'm banking on the idea that there are similarities in more ways than maybe the common threads are mentioning:

Federal Reserve Banks: Each city in the United States is also a location of the Federal Reserve Bank system, minus London, Sao Paulo, and Berlin.

Now, each of the foreign nations, however, I figured would have a correlation with the portrait, but there may be other ideas. Right now, I'm looking for some connection in the international monetary system to tie in the three international locations.

But all of the cities are definitely Federal Reserve Bank locations.

cheers,

And as I am typing, this comes up! I think it is brilliant, and exactly what I was talking about with the idea that it isn't the run around, on the ground type hunt. It makes sense, and it fits with the bigger picture of what ha happened so far. First, there was the Joker robbing GNB (and possibly taking mob payout information too). Then there is the whole sting/tip/mob takedown of the last few days. All this would be a great clearing house to keep the mob and GPD out of the way. Then steal from the rest of the world THROUGH GNB so it looks like the mob did it. They are weak, they are desparate, and nobody knows the difference.

How would we do this? Of course we don't have enough information to be certain that this is actually what will occur, but do we have any additional supporting information? Is there any further connection between the cities, politicians and currency? I think there is an identifiable pattern at least, but I am not sure how it would be arranged.

Before we go to far on the federal reserve banks.... there are only 12 federal reserve banks, and none in LA, or the foriegn nations

there is a federal reserve bank in Los Angeles, it is a branch of the district. Detroit is also a Federal Reserve Bank location, but its chief branch is in Chicago.

I'm still on the three international cities, they are all national caps, so their respective country's bank would be logically placed in their capital city. (or is it capitol?) Nevertheless, it is specific that currency is the target.

Toronto is a deal-breaker, it'd seem. But, the National Bank of Canada, well, it's in Toronto.

The federal reserve banks work well for the US cities, but the big national bank in Brazil is based in Brazilia, not Sao Paulo.

There's actually an Eisenhower Avenue close to me in LA, so I was going to walk over there and check things out later today.

I'm working on some thing IRL that have to be finished by the end of the day, tho, so I'm concentrating on those for the moment

I wish I knew more about the money game at the moment. All I know is I make it well, and I spend it well! It's up to professionals I know to manage it in between and handle exchanges when I travel or do overseas purchasing.

Hmm... now wouldn't it be funny to call up my CPA or tax advisors and start asking them to look into this! Ha! I just might if there's nothing clear on Monday morning.

Hmm. Sao Paulo...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unibanco

things are coming together :)

This is awesome, too bad I'll be at work while this all unleashes on day 3

Okay to sum up:

Fed Reserve Banks are the US Cities
London--Bank of England
Berlin--Bundesbank
Sao Paolo--Unibanco
Toronto--Bank of Canada

It's a little odd that they'd have us do stuff at federal reserves...I'm just imagining the bowling-ball style madness happening in downtown LA...on the other hand, we'd definitely make the news..

that's the thing, I doubt highly that we'll be here. The assumption lately is that we'll rush willy-nilly. but we won't. There will be other locations, I am sure, or a local nearby post office. We're not going into the banks...
