All SHH! folks. I think that there will be participants in these games on the level of the thousands. This is an open invitation to everyone on their website, and we all remember the slipknot.

do you think so? the dentmobile stops (or at least the one I went to) gave much more notice beforehand and fell on a Saturday and only about 20-30 people showed up. this is on a weekday with only 4 days notice. Inevitably the combination of the joker and a new trailer will draw a larger crowd, but do you think it'll really reach "thousands"? if so there are going to be a lot of disappointed people out there.
 
I'm trying to decide whether or not to go to Philly (from DC). Since I'm sure this is for a screening of the new trailer, I was wondering if anyone went to the last screening that came from the "Pair of Jokers" game with the vault. Was there anything else there besides a screening of the trailer?

Dent isn't exactly a draw. The Joker, however, will most likely draw upwards of a few hundred at the least, possibly in these large cities, up to a thousand or even more.

And as the movie sites start to churn the butter, I am thinking most of these peeps will show up like mad. Depends, though, on the exposure of the media on Monday. The game time, I'm curious to get verification on this, is based on the clock you see in your time zone, which I assume is based on a 6pm EDT start.

Any theory on logistics for this solve-the-puzzle-online to send the clown running around town?

I'm thinking GPS coordinates, maybe the same idea of vanishingpointgame.com, recommend those who are oracles to brush up on the theory behind their game.

It gives 42 the ability to pre-set their peeps, without having a suspicious person already waiting around looking like a checkpoint.

hmm..I guess we'll see then. I'm planning on being really early to ensure I'm one of the 300, though if the numbers do go that high, I don't see how 42 will be able to determine who has been there and who just showed up. Say 1,000 people show up. If there is a group effort for a shared prize, it won't be very fair for the 700 people who aren't included in the showing of the trailer. However if it's just a free for all, I see total chaos breaking out.

Seriously, I didn't hear about the bowling ball hunt here until it was too late to have some chance. The guy/girl/whoever who found the second bowling ball here arrived at the alley just 40 minutes before me, and I have no idea why he/she took so long to make the call from that cell phone.

But this time I'm here, getting the news as soon as they are posted in the forum, and I'm already getting in touch with people to be at the location here in Sao Paulo at the exact time. No delays this time, for sure. I don't think there is a need to start a thread for Sao Paulo since it seems I'm one of two or three Brazilians who post here, but I'll keep you informed of everything that takes place here.

Yeah, I think it's possible chaos will develop if more people show early and people start asking questions (my idea of a brewing storm). And, if a radio station gets word (like they did with the ebay'ed stuff), well, good-bye.
 
so are some people assuming that the trailer won't be released online
monday, but only to those who are on site at one of the locations?
 
Do you think the oracles need to be on SHH too?

I mean, there will probably be riddles, don't you think?

That's what I've been worrying about. I'll skip class, so I can get to the location pretty early, but I believe several others can be there as well. I'm not sure how they plan to select the first 300, if that's the case.

But the site says something about spend an hour bonding with the other clowns, so maybe there'll be a hunt and the 300 first who arrive at the theathers get the admission to the screening.
 
I think this needs to be a "Members Only" event. Allow us to sign up ahead of time and make us bring something to verify it. I'll be so upset if after I take off a whole day from work and drive 5 hours one way just to find out that I wasn't one of the 300.

I have a secret feeling GCN is debuting on Monday, but don't hold me to it.
 
I'm having a friend monitor the boards and online WSS site...not good with puzzles so I hope the info is flowing on the boards.
