I feel like the new functionality could be good and it would be an improvement if that was added while keeping the same layout, but readability is very low atm.

The sidebar is still obscuring the forum and I don't even haven an 'x' at the top to try and remove it.

I also have the same problem that was mentioned on mobile. It shows only the SHH community on the page. The rest of the forum can only be accessed by clicking a small square that isn't very visible or clearly indicative of its function and scrolling all the way down a list of subforums.

Having avatars and user information break up posts greatly reduces reading efficiency.

BTW, I started this thread unaware of the Xenforo Help thread. If it's just going to be the same thing maybe these posts should be moved if possible?

Yeah, it's unsettling. May I suggest you ask @C. Lee to switch your forum them to "XenForo", it looks a bit like the old board.

The alert system is great though. Once all the threads you like are watched you will mostly be using that and new posts to get around.

Edit : I changed the nb of posts displayed and I'm back to the new style..well, twice I asked C.Lee, I will wait for a perma fix and/or the option to change yourself the theme to "blue hue/Xeno thing".

The alert system is pretty much the same as the subscription page which is what I had bookmarked before

With this new board, will thread be shut down and restarted after 1000 posts like before?

Is it just me, or did the new forum software also wipe out the commenting system on the main site? Seems that there are no longer comments on the news articles, which is just lame.

I just viewed the site on my phone for the first time since the switch and it's the same for me. There must be a fair number of people who can't find subforums now and I'm sure that some of them will just give up. It's a huge problem if you're blocked from most threads and there's no way to figure out what's going on. Hopefully, the admins will fix the glitch soon.

Another problem I've had is that quoted text stays in the reply box even when I decide I don't want to reply. I've clicked posts to reply to, thought better of it, but then can't erase the text. It's annoying.

They're aware of the mobile issue and are working to fix it. In the meantime, there is a quick navigation menu in the upper right-hand corner you can use that does include all the subforums.

One other thing I'd love, if there was a way to save which subforums I collapse so they remain that way every time I log in. I don't want to full on ignore those subs, I just want to minimize them for quicker scrolling to the ones I read first.

Hmmm. Mine have automatically stuck already. Maybe that only happens because I selected the "Stay logged in" option, which I realize isn't an option for people on shared computers. But yeah, you would think that would be a savable setting. @SniperHF or @Buffaloed care to chime in on this?

They do stay that way when I stay logged in too, but when I close out my browser and have to log in again, they're no longer collapsed. Like it doesn't save to your profile, but I've been on other boards where they've stayed with me.

Not a huge deal, but just a thought.

Yeah, that's what happened to me as well..again. After I disabled the signatures from appearing and saved the settings, the new Blue Xenfro skin given by C.Lee yesterday disappeared and now I'm back to Red SHH default setting.

I shouldn't be changing my settings so quickly, my mistake. If possible, maybe C.Lee can get me the Blue Xenforo skin for the one last time, I don't want to bother him so frequently but since I am having some tough time getting used to these new forums, I have to request him again. Please, C.Lee I want the Blue Xenforo skin back again, change it one last time. Thanks.

I posted this in another thread but if you go to account > preferences & changes the skin to 'SuperHeroHype Liquid', it shows 2 rows of forums in each collapsible sub-category & it looks a little more like the old SHH at least from the way it's laid out IMO.

I think it's ok for the most part (likes could become a popularity contest in a bad way).

The only real issue I have is not being able to search user posts accurately anymore. I made a separate thread on this as not really brought up all that much which makes me think too many people don't think/care about the work they put into their posts around here. I search posts under my name why is it only a few over the past few years come up?

They’re still working on the site indexing, which affects the search function. Give it some time.
