So I'm thinking I might buy myself a new Laptop......Now, if I do that is there an easy way to tranfer all of my information over to the new one? Something that will still leave all of the programs and stuff on my old one...

Thsnk

If you get a laptop im assuming you might get a wireless router or something? just pass the files over the network from the older computer. Stuff like programmes will have to be installed again on the laptop (from either the disk or .exe files) thats the easiest way of doing it.

I can just pass them over a wirelss Router? Sweet. thanks

Get a Flash Key Drive that works with the computers USB port you can get them in different MB or GB formats. You would probably have to download a driver from a certain website but after that it is a piece of cake. Copy all the photos & or files you want to transfer over to the new computer to the Flash Key Drive & then load them onto your new computer (be sure to download the driver on both computers though). Don't clutter the new computer up with unwanted files & erase the Flash Key Drive after each use. This is how I did it when I transfered stuff from my older computer to my newer computer. Before I ever got a Flash Key Drive I was using Hotmail & emailing myself stuff from my older computer to my regular home email account on my newer computer via dial-up connection & that took forever.

Using a wireless router is not practical if you have gigabytes of data, unless you have the patience.

Buy a basic ethernet hub and connect those two computers only using Ethernet cables or use an Ethernet cross cable to connect those two computers directly using NIC. Your local PC shop should be able to provide this.
