New Live Action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie In The Works?

Been home sick today, so I watched the 1990 movie. It definitely has its more mature moments, but all that is diluted with a lot of cartoony nonsense.

The cartoony non-sense works because in the end, it's a kid's movie. No matter how dark or 'violent' it is.

No, I agree. But the original premise of the comic was darker, something to show the way teenage boys really act and talk. That's what a lot of fans, myself included, want to see. By it's very nature, the material and tone of the next movie really needs to be a hard PG-13, bordering on R.
