After seeing the bandanna version of that pic, I decided to add some additional tweaks of my own. Raph needed more snout, and IMO the "flesh tone" color wasn't doing it for me. He looked too human, and that's just kind of creepy. I ditched the tail like you mentioned, and there was some weird stuff going on with his crotch so I decided to edit it. Also, I made him a bit buffer, because the original pic didn't really look muscular enough to be Raph IMO.

Nice! You got rid of the Vagina too I noticed.:woot:

I am looking forward for the special edition DVD. I really hope that they throw some interesting extras, and not just a barebones treatment.

Well it wouldn't be much of a special edition otherwise, would it? :hehe:

That's a pretty cool manip, just get rid of the black nails. I frickin hate black nail varnish.

For the record, TMNT 1990 is still in my top 5 comic book movies and easily in my top 20 films ever. It was perfect. Comedic, gritty, emotional and had some bad ass fights. Who remembers the part where Raph jumps across the cab chasing Casey?

"What the hell was that?"

"I dunno, looked like a big turtle, in a trench coat."

:hehe:

DAAAYYYUUUMMM!!!!

Isn't the guy in the cab the guy who voiced Raph in the cartoon? Or am I thinking of someone else?

'Tis a classic. I watched it the other day on ABC Family. They played all 3 movies. Loved the first, liked the 2nd, hated the 3rd. So bad, that last movie.

Whatever they do, I hope they go with the original voices. They're just iconic to me

Not to mention the turtles themselves looked ridiculous. Spots. Too many spots.

So is the second.

TMNT was better than 2 and 3....

I really liked the 2nd one. Yes, it was a tad kiddie & a big dropoff from the 1st movie, but it was fun - probably my favorite as a youngster. TMNT was just ok, but definitely better than the 3rd.

Yeah, they were lime green with freakles.

Jim henson didn't do the 3rd one, however, and it was obvious! HELL, Splinter looked awful in part III; just awful.

I never knew this Raphael was voiced by 3 different voice actors in the original trilogy. I had no idea, I thought it was the same guy!

That wasn't even Splinter in the third movie. Saying he looks awful is an understatement.

Also Splinter's voice was awful! Kevin Klash was awesome as Splinter in 1 &2. My favorite va for Splinter.

it's akin to reading Archie comics, you know. there's people who read it, but there's rare. Less than people who are into Image or Oni comics.

As a kid I always liked that Raph was constantly saying "damn".

But only Leonardo and Michaelangelo had the same voice actors throughout the movies. Leo's was done by Takashi from Revenge of the Nerds, and Mike was done by Cousin Oliver from Brady Bunch; and of course Corey Feldman did Donatello's voice for 1 and 3.

WHAT? :wow:

wow, didnt know this either. I noticed his brooklyn accent eased up into the second one (and I avoid the third one as much as possible), but I had no idea.

edit: I just checked it out, his voice is alot higher, but I never noticed it before

I love the first one, that had everything right. The second one was great, but not on par with the first. The third one is tricky, I like it but because of nostalgia, being objective was very inferior in every department of the three. One of the redeeming qualities about this one is that the Turtles used more their weapons, in the second one, Raph only used his sai to catch a pizza!.

The fourth one is good but lacks important things. The plot of the movie was badly thought, and characters like Don or Mickey were underused. The thing I loved about this one was Leo vs Raph, so great, and the animation was surprisingly good. The thing is that it made the same mistake as Superman Returns, was a loosely based sequel instead of a retelling.

One thing that the next Turtles movie needs is Corey Feldman. I loved him as Donatello so much more than his successors. Nothing against them, I just feel Feldman was a better fit.
