Lohan is too young... Dunst was good in SM1... but she'll never get back there again... that's one reason why I don't mind her leaving the franchise... even though no one can stand recasting... although Lohan probably is the only girl out there... wait till she's 22ish... then make SM4 with the new cast...

Kirsten was perfect in SM1 (at least in the first part of the movie). I don't see how anyone can say she didn't look like MJ:

They let her personality shift too much in the second half of SM1, and in SM2 she's like a completely different character (both in looks and behavior). But the fact is she can play MJ to a T. The filmmakers have just chosen not to make use of it. It's unfortunate, but still I think her character in the film is just as interesting, only in a different way. She seems more real and her chemistry with Tobey/Peter is very believable.

It was red, but it was true "redhead red" rather than the deep dyed red she had in the first film. So it was more orange. But it definitely looks better in the first film.

I don't know about that.... the other main contenders were Alicia Witt and Kate Hudson (GOD NO!!!!).... no thank you... Dunst was great in SM1... SM2 was just a drag... I hope she can at least go out with a bang... I am not at all impressed with those pictures of her though...

my comment before towards lohan was that she shouldn't be m.j, and i stand by it. she just isn't a good actress...

its not just looking like the person, but acting and pulling it off. i think dunst has done that in my opinion, even in spidey 2( even though she didn't really 'look' like m.j) i'm happy with dunst.

But the thing is... she's done after this one... I'm not saying recast Dunst now.... but you can't tell me anyone else out there that looks like her other than Dunst and Lohan... let Lohan mature a bit... she'll be ripe at 23/24 when SM4 starts filming... the acting will be better too

Yeah, I never felt much for Dunst (or Maguire) either. I have to admit, I was so upset at the changes in SM1, I didn't watch it for a while after. Then, I went to watch it again and was pleasantly suprised by the film. MJ looked so good there compared to SM2. Speaking of Lindsay, I hope Kirsten does gain some weight back. (And Lindsay is old enough to play MJ now. And yes, she has the looks finally.)

So, who do we want to gain weight more now, Kirsten or Topher?
