New Poster

those are the best movie posters ive seen for any movie.
great marketing job sony!

I knew that one that surfaced last week of the demasked spiderman was more of a fake.

The yellowish tint, does stand out. It makes the redblue spiderman seem darker, or is that just me.

I also seen something in the eye(haha)

These are the 2'nd teaser posters... Yet, for the most of the world, these are the first posters for the film... Only North America got the 3-D spidey teaser poster... So this is actually the first "real" promotion for the film, posterwice that is... Now, coming coincided with the final theatrical trailer in Febuary will be the theatrical poster(s). I'm betting we'll see Sandman Poster, Eddie Brock (MAYBE Venom) poster... all sorts of character posters... it'll be bad-ass!

Wait, does anyone think some idiots will see this and be like "The villain is a dark Spider-Man and Spider-Man's fighting him?"

Because they might confuse the poster with two different people.

i think 90% if them wont even understand that in the poster the red/blue spidey is a reflection in the window. and i understand them.

on the other hand it says: the batle within. and a lot of members here are saying that the general public knows about the symbote and venom.

Am I the only one who sees the disfigured form in the reflection? His torso is to the right of BOTH his legs people!

Look at his thigh. It's BEHIND his torso! How can anyone say this poster is perfect? That's a major mistake that screams sloppy as hell...

Yea I noticed too. Apart from that the poster is really cool, my only real complaint is that the "black suit" looks really grey and not black but I don't care since its just a poster and we've already seen in the trailers that the black suit looks black. Well most of the time.

not only that but the position of the head relative to the shoulder closest to the camera is also off.

initially i thought they were supposed to be side by side, i didn't realise it was actually a reflection.

know that know, they could have done a better job of it.

I love both posters, but I am annoyed by unfair and philistine remarks about the second poster. So in it's defense...

A green atmosphere generally has an unhealthy, poisonous look to it. I think it is extremely appropriate given the conflicts (revenge being a poison) in the third movie. The whole theme of the movie is represented in the second poster -- more than the first poster, even.

Dude, just think of what many artists do to make a background look more nightmarish. Think of the color scheme for backgrounds in Mordor, at the witch's castle in Sleeping beauty. Heck, just look at any good horror or apocalyptic type movie. When the aliens invade, the sky doesn't stay baby blue or maintain a happy golden tint. It turns a volatile green, same color as the sky during a bad thunderstorm or tornado.

Doesn't the second poster look more... sinister? I think it does. It catches my eye and impacts me more even more than the first one (which is also amazing, but has a cleaner, less emotional feel). The first poster's sky is hazy, while the second one is definitely more SURREAL.

Both posters use the same composition. The first is clean and pretty to look at. The second (greenish one) is brooding, venomous, and striking. Both are outstanding. End of story.:word:

totally agree. i love them both. they both have their extreme ups. but i rly wanna buy one of em (probably the second) :woot: .

Yeah some idiotic people might be confused by it when they first look at it but i think eventually people will realize itz a building/mirror.

true, itz one of those mistakes you don't rly catch unless you look/stare at it but yeah they could have done a bit better but i still love it/them, sony did a pretty job i think :yay:

New posters = TEH LAME-ORZ!!!111!!

SOny surely has enough money...and ready access to things we don't, to make a better poster than anybody on here could. But they didn't...

And what kinda marketig is this? "Well, Sony, we've been contracted for two posters, but we've only got one..."

Sony, "Oh...I see...reverse it then....then we'll have 'two'!"

:cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

The differance in Photo Suiet and Photo shop is Suiet is more user friendly, easier to use, and WAY cheaper than photo shop. around 80 bucks.
Yes Photo sweet does and can effect the printing too. My version allows you to adjust how it's printed, but I never use that because I've already adjusted the color the way I like on the putor image.

Does PhotoSuite affect how an image looks on a monitor or when you print it off?

Oh well... I still think both are very strong -- I still think the second one is much better at depicting a sense of urgency and impending disaster, appropriate for the third film, which we have been told is the darkest one yet. The first poster is simply a lot prettier -- more "breath of fresh air-y" than the second.

Then again, moodwise, the first poster is not much different from showcase posters we've seen from the previous movies. And since this third film is, I dunno, supposedly darker than the first two... I think it's nice to see that being a defining element in the posters -- (think of the darkness in the Eddie Brock poster.)

I like how he's in the darker part of the sky in this poster.

We all know every other movie has had classic "Spider-Man sky" posters. The yellowish color.

And anyone remember the (freakin' awesome) Green Goblin poster?

gg_800.jpg

Look at the top left corner. It has that darker color of the sky.

That seems to be the only poster (until now) that's had that color of the sky.

Spider-Man is away from that bright yellow area and more in the darker part.

I just thought that was kinda' cool.
