New PS4 Fighting Game for Street Fighter EX Dev - 2018

Ok, I've been following the teases for this game. It looks like this started out as an April Fool's joke, but it turned out to actually be real.

Arika, the Street Fighter EX games dev, has officially announced a "Mysterious Fighting Game" for the PS4 for 2018.

I vaguely remember the SF EX games - I do remember Skullomania, though.

Between this and the BlazBlue Tag Battle game, it's been a good night of announcements for fighting game fans! t:

edit: Looks like I messed up the thread title. It should say "from" Street Fighter EX Dev instead of "for." maybe the mods could fix it? thanks.

What an awful title. I thought that was a placeholder. It's too bad this wont be connected to SF, bc I wanted the characters in SFV since I had no hope for a SF EX 4. I hope this is good

Btw what is Arika's connection to Capcom bc that training mode is ripped straight out of SF IV

Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury will join Fighting EX Layer as an additional character, developer Arika announced.

The end of the trailer announcing Terry Bogard also teases the return of Street Fighter EX characters Area and Sharon.

Additionally, the company confirmed that previously announced characters Pullum Purna and Vulcano Rosso will be added to Fighting EX Layer via a free update around the end of August to the end of September.


Finally, Arika announced plans to release an arcade version of Fighting EX Layer. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Arika has released a new set of Fighting EX Layer gameplay videos showcasing upcoming playable characters Vulcano Rosso and Pullum Purna, who will be added to the game via a free update in late August to September.


Fighting EX Layer is available now for PlayStation 4.
