Yeah, it's been said, but there doesn't seem to be a thread around on this. So, anyone excited? It's January 2nd right?

Some people were saying it was going to be Spider-Man 2, just not butchered by the other channels. But I don't think that's the case after watching the preview on FX. It said "New Never Before Seen Footage" "More Story".

It's got to be a new cut. Plus it said "Recut by Sam Raimi himself" or something like that.

I wonder if it'll include the rumored scene where Jameson tried on the spidey costume:woot:

This is awesome...it looks like a new dvd will be coming out with more scenes. On the 2nd disc...they had a scene where Doc Ock was on his back and the tentacles were tossing Spidey around...that didn't make it in the final cut.

Maybe it's the Spider-man 2.5 we've been hearing about the last couple of years.

hell yea and i too think that it is spiderman 2.5 which is great

Wouldn't they release it in dvd before FX...???

I always wanted to see that fight.

Maybe not{who knows, we might see it in the next few months}. I just hope there's more than 5 minutes of new footage.

Damn. I wont be able to see it since i dont have the channel. Would anyone be able to record it and upload it?

I'm sure the scenes that never made it to the final cut will be on youtube.
You don't need to worry.

ok, how could I watch this Spider-man 2 "special edition" if I don't live in United States?

Does this mean more Chocolate Cake Girl? :(

Yeah!!! An extra hour dealing with her sub-plot. That's just what we need.:whatever:

Anyway, hopefully someone will upload it to youtube or somewhere quickly.

This is great news & it sucks also because it isn't coming out on dvd first. I guess we can expect it out on dvd by around March or April along with a ticket to Spider-Man 3 like what came with the Spider-Man Deluxe Edition for Spider-Man 2.

All i have to say is i agree..and i cant fuggin wait lol

Damn, 3 hrs. I hope I can get it in Canada. Anyone know what it would be in Cogeco's service?

I ask because I heard she had more screen-time. And, yes, I agree that more Chocolate Cake Girl would be wrong!

We're not getting a 3 hour movie. Not even close. There'll be 5 minutes extra footage max.

Honestly, did anyone actually believe there was over 50 minutes of new footage??

No! But, I believe there's more Chocolate Cake girl footage. :csad:

probably more then 5 minutes, but shorter then an hour.

^The three hours is because of the commercials. But the preview said we would get more footage for the story, and we knew we were gonna have more action before they said that,so it has to be more than 5 minutes, maybe 10-15.

I'd say more than 5 minutes, but less than 10. Something around 7 minutes sounds right to me.
