"From the Marvel Perspective"? What's so special about that? It didn't really change the experience IMO
About the web_shooters, why? It's not like his web is so unique in that universe any ways : the impostor had some, Arcade retro-engineered it, Kingpin crushed them when they first fought, etc.
Dunno, maybe Bendis loves his amateur Spider-Man as an amateur?
Kinpin at least just held the wrist of an intruder
But seriously, why? It's not like the Widow never had any cooler gizmo
I hate B.W in that universe

Didn't she do it to prove herself to Fury? And isn't that story out of continuity anyways? The Fury in that story was white if memory serves.

I just hope we get cool looking villains and some spidey villains that we never seen before, like Man Wolf.

I found some unused designs for this show from somebody who tried out for the job on DeviantArt.

I got a chance to try out for the design job on the new Spider-man cartoon earlier this year. I didn't get the gig but it gave me an excuse to draw a bunch of Spidey pieces. Which is its own reward.

Ah to bad he wasn't picked. Solid art and style would have liked it.

if HE didn't get the job then just how talented is the person that DID?! :wow:

Does that guy have any spidey villains that he designed for the show?

Hopefully I am curious style they are going with. Cause loeb did mention they are looking into new unique stuff.

I feel like I've been gone forever. I missed everything.

Wow, that looks nice. If this person didn't get the job, I wonder who did or will get the job.

Newsarama has a Paul Dini interview in which he says pretty much nothing new about Ultimate Spider-Man.
Nrama: And another thing you’re working on that you probably can’t really talk about at this point is the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, slated for fall 2011 on Disney XD.
Dini: Yep. That’s going ahead. Having a great time on that, and I’m working with some old friends from the Batman days on that. Coming up with a look for the Spider-Man show, I think it’s really going to take people by surprise. It’s going to take people by surprise as much as the Batman show in the early ‘90s took comic fans by surprise. And yet at the same time it feels very right and it looks very right. And I can’t really say anything more about that or Jeph Loeb will be after me.
Nrama: Now that you’re working on the Ultimate Spider-Man TV series, is there any possibility we might in the future see you working with Marvel on the print side?
Dini: That may happen. I can work on Marvel/Disney stuff for TV, but comics-wise I’m still exclusive to DC. They’re my comics home for the time being.
At some point, I may do that. At some point, I’m going to get around to doing a Jingle Belle animated special.
It's cool to hear that there are some more BTAS vets working on the show though. I know Eric Radomski recently got one of the big positions at Marvel Animation and Frank Paur is already a MA mainstay but I didn't hear of anyone besides Dini being directly tied to this new show.

Damn, thats awesome that they have a bunch of guys from BTAS working on this show. That show was AWESOME!

I'm interested in seeing what this "surprising" look they keep talking about is.

Me to since loeb said they were going for a new animation style.

Don't you remember that video interview with loeb posted not to long ago. Where he was saying marvel is looking into new and different animation styles to bring upcoming shows to life and all that. Like for example classic 2d work, anime, cgi, motion comics stuff and all that. Then like comics different artists draw things in many different styles. Really can't wait to see where they go with spidey.

Loeb was saying that they want it to look as though it literally popped off of comic book pages unlike most other animated comic adaptation.
