New "Ultimate Spider-Man" Animated Series Coming to Disney XD For Fall 2011?

And people (not everyone though) were complaining about how kiddy it looks, how it's animated for 4 year olds, and how they're gonna boycott this show.

And guess what? It only became the best Spider-Man show of all time (to date anyway, even though I still LOVE Spider-Man: The Animated Series), and it was also the highest ranked Spidey show by IGN

Not only that, but fans are also saying it's THE best adaptation/interpretation of Spider-Man outside the comics.

AND that it's on par with Batman: The Animated Series.

Not bad for a show whose trailer had quite a lot of backlash originally


The Ultimate Spider-Man animated series trailer seems to have been met with more positive than negative reaction, albeit the watch seeming to be a distraction for some (not me however), so I'd say it's looking bright for now.

Whatever happens, I know I'll be getting this show on DVD!

Well Fury told Spidey when he turned 18 he was drafting him into the Ultimates. Now in the current Ultimate Universe Carol Danvers (now head of SHIELD) is making Spidey go to Super Hero class.

Did you read somewhere that they've confirmed that as MJ? Seeing as MJ was also introduced in Ultimate Spider-Man somewhat late into the series if my memory serves me right.

Lets wait till we get more info but you're probably right seeing as he did make a heart web and all.

Well, we have to wait and see. I mean, can we catch lightning in a bottle twice? That's the question. You have to remember, MJ seems to be the first love interest in this show, so in terms of being faithful to the comics, that's already a point to TSSM, but like I said, we'll just have to wait and see.

The animation is absolutely BaDaSs, the background art is great, the character designs are detailed, Spidey's voice is on the money and so is his agility, love the way JJJ looks and sounded (he's better a freakin' cartoon than in live action, lol) love the way MJ looks too (detailed and hot).

You've gotta be kidding me, I can't believe I actually liked what I saw, for a Spider-Man cartoon this looks top of the line. Hopefully, they've got some great solo Spider-Man stories. Not keen on Nick Fury being his boss-type or him having the watch and being kept tabs on. But still, I can't stop watching this sh--!

That footage was pretty awesome, I love the art work and animation. It LOOKS much better than spectacular spider-man did but lets hope the story and characters are as good or better.

Yeah pretty much. The show isn't coming out until 2012 so there is a lot of things that can change but it isn't looking good for Keaton though.

Sending emails might help but it might be a little too late now. Though Marvel could always change their mind.

In '06, someone leaked the Comic-Con trailer for Spider-Man 3 with Venom in it. Later, the trailer for Iron Man 1. Later still, there was a hack of the Dark Knight ARG site, so people got their hands on spoiler photos way beforehand. More recently, the entire revised shooting script for Thor was posted here.

Basically, we've given Warner Bros. and Marvel Studios a few good reasons to keep these forums monitored. Gale Anne Hurd namedropping this site as a place she visits frequently confirms as much.
