It being a series finale, it was an amazing series finale. Green Goblin is "dead", Norman Osborn is out there, Harry is starting to act like a *****e, Peter is the lonely, single guy once more, Aunt May is getting it from a black doctor.

I'm gonna quote Nathan because I think he said is best when it comes to this.

Spectacular Spider-Man has run it's course? It was just getting to the really good stuff. I mean, what we got was already beyond awesome and Weisman was going to deliver even more in season 3.

**** this! Cancelling a perfectly good show, with amazing presentation and storytelling, taking several eras of Spider-Man history and forming it into a single, coherent entity, just because you want to do your own thing.

I agree with him. There was so much more that could have been done and was actually planned. Such as the end of the Gang War, Scorpion and Hobgoblin. The latter was actually being set up in Season 2. Kingsley's Hobgoblin has never been used in a TV series and we were THIS close to it.

I have heard some theories that it was cheaper to start from scratch than to buy all of the TSSM stuff that Sony still owned to continue it. Really? It's cheaper to start from scratch, from character models to staff to auditions? Rather than paying a lump sum and continuing with a pre-assembled crew? Really? Cheaper? Oh, well, who am I to argue with the people who believe a comic starring DOCTOR VOODOO is a steal at $4? That people will line up in droves to pay that much for a SIF one shot?

I still think a no-brainer show like "The Brave and the Bold" or "The Super Hero Squad" is way cheaper to produce, even from scratch, than a really quality show like TSSM, that for starters has a story that develops throughout a season and beyond, characters, fluent animation, creative fight scenes and situations, great backgrounds and settings, not to mention the vast cast.

A SuperHeroSquad approach for the new series is a way cheaper solution IMO.

Pity there will still be people who will watch it and encourage them in making it a 52 episode span and endure on the network.

But it WON'T be TSSM, a show that was meat-and-potatoes good animation. It was a show that grabbed me by the neck and demanded I hound the Internet every time a new episode aired on TeleToon or YTV of Season 2. It made my heart pound and pulse every time. It provided memories I'll not easily forget anytime soon.

I think it's how most of us felt.

I think Marvel neglected it's fan base for a long time and just did it's thing for commercial reasons. There is a big fan base for TSSM and I personally think that we should all join and publicly announce a boycott. We have waited too long in the dark about the fate of this show, and now when things came in the open we should do something.

First of this is a discussion for the upcoming cartoon let's not get off course with SM3 love or hate.Second let's be honest with ourselves.Hate Mail isn't going to do anything.People have been writing Disney for months about renewing the show and it did zip.I'm disappointed Spectacular is gone but hey there are other things in life to worry about.I'm happy we at least got 26 awesome episodes.

I don't think an email will do anything. I think we must for a hate community and publicly attack Marvel for continuously ruining the good work that is done.

Well this is still in the Spectacular Spider-Man thread, and I am not satisfied for a cartoon like "Brave and the Bold" or "Super Hero Squad" to replace the great work done for those 26 episodes. It's not finished, the story wasn't done. I don't get it why that guy (in those previous post, that executive or whatever he is) is considering TSSM as a finished thing. When will those people learn that something is not finished or done until the story is, and not those economic or commercial excuses. I still can't understand why Americans can't start treating their own work with some respect, like the Japanese for example.

Which begs the question: Why be a fan of something so decadent and corrupt? Why fill their money bags? And then hear excuses such as 'what's done is done' while it is far from done. If they don't show any respect for their own work, how should they expect respect from the fans?

Raimi could of done 100% better with what he had to work with.Instead he kinda screwed himself and fans with screwing certain things up on purpose.

1.By making Sandman uncle Ben's killer and by having him get his powers by falling in a hole when he is running from the cops were two things that he did that screwed the character up.The third thing he screwed up on with Sandman was how he is a good guy at the end and flies away.

2.New Goblin was a slap to the face for Goblin fans.He could of gave fans a real GG costume with a latex mask.He could of even gave us Hobgoblin with the latex mask.Instead he screws that character up by giving us a paintball mask and a flying snowboard.

3.Raimi should of went with the dark theme this movie was suppose to have and make it darker,but with how he did things with Sandman and with the Goblin he ended up making it cheesy instead.

He could of gave us a cool Goblin costume wearing Harry fighting Peter and the clothline scene could of paralyzed Harry from the neck down,which would of kept Harry evil and we could of got rid of the cheesy amnesia stuff.

Then we could of gotten a better Sandman transformation where Harry creates the Sandman,a thug spidey has thrown in prison with Oscorp technology to kill spidey.

4.Then Raimi could of had Sandman vs Black Spidey,one on one,where the black suit gives spidey the advantage to fight a villain like the Sandman.And the black suit could of gave us a more darker feel as black spidey pours cement onto Sandman putting an end to him.

5.Then we could of had one final battle with black spidey fighting GG2/Hobgoblin where black spidey decides to kill Harry for creating Sandman to kill him.And through out the movie we see Harry is being healed more and more.

By the time black spidey shows up at the Osborn mansion,Harry is in the Goblin's lair when the alarm goes off showing Harry on the tv monitor that the intruder is black spidey.

So Harry suits up and we see a kick a## fight where both Harry and Peter is really trying to kill the other.Then it ends when black spidey chucks the pumpkin bomb at Harry and Peter and the audience thinks that Harry is dead.

The reason for the church scene and why Peter takes it off,and we get a glimpse of Venom before the credits go by.


This movie could of been better than anything that we ever saw...
