The Dark Knight NEW Videointerviews!

Verbal smackdown between Batman and The Joker? Gotta love that............

howdy

can anyone post the video on youtube, as cannot be viewed outside the US of A

Merci beaucoup!

Great read. Here are some of my fave quotes:

"There is a pretty amazing meeting of the minds between Batman and Joker in the middle of the film that we haven't wanted to show to people yet," Nolan revealed when asked about the "Dark Knight" moment he most enjoys watching in the edit bay. "We want to save that for the movie. ... It's very much an acting scene, but I would be lying if I said it was a purely verbal smackdown."

...

"I would say the Bruce Wayne character is a lot closer to Harvey Dent than the Joker," Nolan reasoned. "[Dent] is very relatable to Batman, and he certainly makes that point himself in the movie. ... The Joker is an absolute. He is a force of evil and anarchy. He just cuts through the movie like the shark in 'Jaws' or something. This is not a guy with an arc, and it's not about his origin. This is just the rise of the Joker to power through the criminal underworld of Gotham. He's a pretty terrifying figure."

...

In "Dark Knight," Nolan explained, Gotham is the Joker's town — and everybody else is just living in it.

Missed this on my first read.

....ahahaha. Kinda obvious statement.

I guess this article makes it pretty clear that Rachael Dawes will not die in this movie...no matter how much some people want it.

The parts about looking at The Pistols (Rotten and Vicious) really made me smile. I'd love to see that Punk aspect to Mr. J.

The 'meeting of the minds' is most likely the interrogation scene. And now we know that it's in the middle :D

i dont know about schumacher, but i dont think burton or nolan really wanted or intended to come back for a 2nd one, but eventually they had to both get reinvigorated in the material and they both did a sequel, and from the looks of it, both Returns and TDK look to be the "dark" second half.

wow...just...wow this is going to be great. The meeting between Batman and the Joker has gotten me all excited. Though I'm a little disappointed Rachel prob wont die. I like Maggie and I think she will be good, but I thought it would serve the story quite well if the J man took her out.

Nice clips, but when the heck are we going to get another trailer I wonder.

I'm not sure, but when it arrives make sure you wake me up from the epileptic fit that your avy has caused me. :oldrazz:

So Falcone ain't coming back eh? WTF then? THis is interesting.

I like reading that Nolan has been a fan of the character since he was a kid:

“The utility belt is one of the great things about Batman,” he gushed. “You just never know what is going to come out of that thing next, and that’s one of the things I loved as a kid about the character. We tried to preserve that, that sense of fun about those gadgets, in the film.”
