I'm just curious to see how them splitting affects TASM3? Are they gonna ditch Kurtzman or Orci and replace them with someone else (Drew Goddard perhaps)?

Yes. Sony liked so much what they did with TASM 2 that practically made them the brain trust of the franchise.

The article that suggested that they are taking their separate ways, also said that are still working together on TV shows, so it's not like they had a dispute or anything, they are just trying different things.
