Well this is just my opinion and my opinion only. I think that if a deal is made, then Sony and Disney would be announcing this at SDCC2015. So I think we would only get silence for a long time.

If a deal is NOT made and the talks break down again, then Sony is going to either continue with Sinister Six, TASM3, or reboot. They are going to announce something a lot sooner. Remember how SM4 was cancelled and the reboot was announced at the same time?

Now once again this is just me speculating. I have no idea if the silence means anything or not and if they would really wait for SDCC to announce a deal.

but to respond to you. sony rebooting again sans disney is the WORST thing they could do. continuing asm sans disney is also a bad move. in short, moving forward with spidey, without disney is just wrong, wrong, wrong. and by now, sony HAS to be aware that the internet has been swirling with hype about spidey in the mcu and if their deal breaks down and they say no, then they'll disappoint and piss the crap off of all of their fans.

Yes, I think that doing anything Spider-Man related WITHOUT Disney is such a terrible idea. People want that deal to get made. There is certainly a small following for the TASM movies but that's not enough to hold the franchise up on it's two feet; it's going to collapse!
