Horror Next Jordan Peele movie

Always an event with one of Peele’s directed movies. The fact that it’s opening on Christmas is intriguing, wonder if the holiday itself will play into it. And will it necessarily be a horror film?

Peele doing Christmas Horror sounds amazing. I wonder if he's going to pull some social commentary out of the Zwarte Piet/Black Pete character & blackface tradition from Europe?

Jordan Peele-Produced Horror Movie Reveals New Title, September 2025 Release Date

Justin Tipping is directing the psychological horror film 'Him,' which stars Marlon Wayans as a legendary quarterback who is tasked with training a rising young star.

The Jordan Peele-produced psychological horror film set in the world of football has revealed its official title — Him — and a Sept. 19, 2025 release date in theaters. Universal and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions announced the news Thursday.

Justin Tipping is directing the movie, which stars Marlon Wayans as a legendary quarterback tasked with training a rising young athlete, played by Tyriq Withers, who goes to train at the aging athlete’s isolated compound. The film’s working title was GOAT.

The film also stars Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, comedian Jim Jefferies, and hip hop phenoms Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, both in their feature film debuts.

Him is from an acclaimed Blacklist script by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, creators of the sci-fi series Limetown. Peele will produce along with Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld and Jamal Watson for Monkeypaw. David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh are executive producing.

From Oscar® winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, producers of the landmark horror films Get Out, Us, Candyman and Nope, comes a blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and the pursuit of excellence at any cost.

From an acclaimed Black List screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie (creators of the sci-fi crime series Limetown), HIM centers on a promising young football player, invited to train at the isolated compound of a dynasty team’s aging QB1.

Peele burst onto the scene as a director with the original psychological horror film Get Out, which transformed into a box office sensation for Universal. He’s gone on to direct or produce three more films for the studio via Monkeypaw; Us, Candyman and Nope.

Much as Get Out exposed racism in chilling fashion, Him promises to deliver a “blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power and the pursuit of excellence at any cost,” according to Universal’s announcement.

It was wild to see Jordan Peele is essentially a background character in a Wayans Bros. episode I had on in the background the other day.
