Fantasy Disney's "Gargoyles" movie?

I can see them pulling them off in CG. Plus with the show format, they can get Keith David to return!

And a series? That's one expensive series. Unless Goliath and co. Only get 5min of screentime per episode.

"Gargoyles" could finally be returning to television, with a live-action reboot series currently in the works at Disney+.

The current logline for the project reads: “Based on the cult classic Disney animated series, Goliath is the last of a heroic race of gargoyle warriors who once lived among mankind. Free from a centuries long curse that turned him into stone, Goliath struggles to solve the mystery of his past while watching over modern-day New York City alongside police detective Elisa Maza.”

Does this mean the other Gargoyles like Lexington, Broadway, Hudson won’t appear in the modern day part of the story?

As a concept on paper, this is easier to pull off than the live action Transformers movies or even some of the more out-there superhero movies. The trick is getting the CGI right, which is a big ask for a Disney+ show.

Same as my thoughts on Netflix's Avatar remake, I'm very cautiously interested in this. One thing above all else that this needs to retain from the original show is the gothic atmosphere. Also would not mind in the slightest if they got Keith David back to play Goliath.

Ugh, I should have read the fine print.

What I can see happening to save on the budget is Goliath and maybe Demona (in a much smaller role) are the only Gargoyles we see and Hudson, Broadway, Lexington, Brooklyn and Bronx are presumed dead but actually MIA or hidden away somewhere in statue form. They're teased but only brought into the show for season two with a bigger budget if the first season is a success.

Salli Richardson is only a year younger than Halle Berry. I think they're gonna go younger for Elisa anyway but Salli Richardson could definitely direct a couple episodes.

The first name that popped into my head for Elisa is Paula Patton.

Also, Dauberman as showrunner, writer is not exciting as most of his work is meh.

I love Halle but....Elisa Maza was in her late 20s...maybe mid 30s?

There's no reason to aging her to her 50s/60s.

They should also try hard to cast someone who is half-Native American like Eliza
