I get what you're saying and think they are paying him on potential. With a good team behind him, I think he could be one of the best in the league.....he just hasn't shown it yet. The Jags probably think they've got a shot at being a top 3 or maybe 4 team in the AFC and have to sign him to make that a reality.

What I don't understand is the Goff contract. If that guy's a top 5 QB, I'm in some weird Marvel universe.
