NFL - Game On

Oh god.....I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Panthers look worse than I thought they would. I don't see how they win a game this year unless they experience miraculous improvement. I've seen some really, really bad teams and these guys might be the worst.

Note about the Bears. They had a chance to make some coaching staff changes and blew it. This is just not a well coached team. They are completely unable to adjust to the game and seem to have a one track game plan.

Annnnnnnddddd.....just win baby.

Gonna have to see how Dalton performs this Sunday before I make any judgements on how the rest of the year is gonna go. Last year he threw for 300 yds in the game he started. Obviously they're nowhere near being a playoff team, but if Dalton can get the offense moving and score points, they're gonna have a chance to be competitive in some games.

I didn't even know they moved him up. I just can't see Dalton being any kind of answer with that team. I mean, who knows, but I'm not throwing down any bank on that chance. I think Carolina has some lean years in front of them. They just have too many holes, but I've been wrong before....but only once. :funny:

I mean, they might make it to .500 with Dalton as their starter. 🤷‍♀️

Andy Dalton is 4-0 against our Raiders, so we will see if Antonio Pierce can break any more negative records the Raiders got going for them.

Whatever Crosby said to Minshew after that ugly pick seemed to inspire him for the 2nd half. He mostly targeted Bowers & Adams, so maybe just stick with that lol!

If Dalton can turn that team around, my hat's off to him. As far as the Raiders go, the Panthers rushing defense is so bad, maybe even WE can run on them. One thing is for sure. If the Raiders can't run the ball, it's gonna be a long season. The only thing that gives me some hope is that (statistically) they've played 2 very good run defenses. There's no question the Ravens are tough to run against. My only question about the Chargers is whether they were really good or the Raiders run game is really bad. :funny:

Not gonna lie, I totally forgot that Dalton was still in the league. Good for him for getting another opportunity, probably what's best for the Panthers in the short term while they try and see if they can rebuild/fix Bryce Young's confidence.

I don't think we'll make it to .500. The 3 division opponents are looking very good and after their bye week, the schedule is absolutely brutal. Also, the 4 game stretch after Cincinnati that might be winnable, 3 of those are on the road.

I'm at the point where I'd just like the team to have a chance to win in the 4th quarter. lol

The Panthers haven't won back to back games since November 27th/December 11th of 2022. Bye week in between those games. Last time they won back to back games without a bye week. 3 years ago.

Us Panthers fans have had it rough. :(

TBH, I think that's about the best you can hope for. They have to be the odds on favorite to get the #1 pick in next year's draft. Maybe they can turn that into some kind of bonanza (like the one they gave away). I don't wish them ill (are you listening Dallas?), but the ownership's team has to get their act together.

And, yeah, the NFC south looks really tough.....they've been a joke the last few years.

It was very damn hilarious that Dak Prescott said we aren't going undefeated in response to the Saints demolishing the Cowboys. It's a very Captain Obvious statement after an embarrassing loss in Texas.

To quote Darth Vader "All Too Easy" because the Jets flew very far above the rebuilding Patriots by outplaying them without struggling in an uncompetitive 24-3 Thursday Night game. While the Patriots did upset the Bengals in the Jungle in Week 1, however, that is looking like fool's gold or Lightning in a Bottle even though realistically the Patriots can win more than 3 games this season.

The New York Jets are giving their fans the happiness of stability since they've won consecutive games to improve to 2-1 after getting demolished by the 49ers in California on an NFL Week 1 Monday Night football game.
Also, Rodgers has succeeded staying healthy by remaining uninjured after playing 3 regular season games for the NY Jets.

This is true.

I don't know if the Jets looked really good because they were playing the Pats or if they have a team that could make some noise. I've rooted for them over the past couple of years and have been disappointed. Not a big Rodgers fan, but he looked pretty damn good tonight. The Jets look like they've got a good defense and a balanced offense. We'll see when they play more competitive teams.

We are under some kind of curse.

Re the Bears: 4 plays from the 1yd line, and not scoring is embarrassing but deserved. That's what you get for doing all shotgun plays. It's the NFL, grow up and be under center.

When they lined up on 4th down in shotgun I screamed they ain't getting it, and my brother laughed. I was laughing after!

Watson being awful as usual. The question is, when do the Browns pull one rapist and replace him with the other? :hmm:
