NFL - Game On

Meh.....the NFL is all about hype and if they can drag in a few more eyes, they'll do it. This really has nothing to do with Swift and Kelce, but is about the NFL media machine. She wouldn't give an EF if no one mentioned her; she doesn't need it and neither, to a lesser extent, does Kelce. Personally, I take them completely out of this equation. They weren't behind the cameras and they weren't writing the script.

I can ignore it, but if others can't, point to the media madness.

(Also, I'm not saying you blame them. Your post doesn't rag on anyone, but, rather, seems to suggest you just find it annoying.....kinda like when I see that Kars for Kids commercial.....or whatever it's called... with those annoying pink kids.....I just turn off the sound). LOL

those kars for kids ads on New York Sports radio are the vain of my existence
caught myself saying F them kids on Mondays after bad Giants losses so for the past decade :shh::shh:

the TV commercial is the worst thing you'll ever see

THANK YOU!!!!! I had someone tell me (a mod no less) that the TV commercial wasn't "that bad". :scream: When I'm listening to ESPN and they play that commercial, the radio goes off and sometimes I forget to turn it back on. Serves them right for playing that garbage.

Yeah.....those pink kid's parents ought to be arrested and the children sent to a re-education camp. :funny:

Y'know, now, I can understand why people can get a little frustrated with the Traylor thing, but they haven't had to deal with it for years. LOL

Jets fan here. Yes, I'm still recovering from opening night.

The Jets made three mistakes with Zack Wilson. The first mistake was drafting him. The second mistake was not trading him for some late round conditional pick during the offseason. The third mistake was not quickly bringing in a capable backup that might be able to help by week 4 or 5.

Instead, they keep Wilson around and are forced to relive their original mistake all over again. Even worse, they keep selling everyone this garbage of how he's improved despite still not being able to see the field, made quick decisions, or display any pocket awareness.

The Jets basically play football with ten players on offense instead of eleven.

I keep hoping for him to improve and he shows flashes of being good, but is a below mediocre QB. You can't make that many mistakes and play QB in the NFL.....

This week I'm actually glad I got the ticket. There are a few games not being shown locally that I'm interested in watching. Miami/Buffalo, Cowboys/Pats (I hope they knock the crap out of each other), Ravens/Browns might provide some entertainment as opposed to the abortion that was last week.

EDIT: Man, I can't take my eyes off that Fins/Bills game. LOL

EDIT2: Not sad to see the Bengals getting slammed by the Titans....of all teams. SMH

Patriots offense is so untalented, it's depressing to watch. Is it too much to ask for a team that can score 20+ points routinely if need be? New head coach is much needed, man.

I'm ready for this season to be over already. Just clean house, start from scratch. Whole organization needs a modern reset. It's so embarrassing.

Typical Raiders game.......I don't like anyone in the AFC West, other than the Raiders, but Fing Herbert has me shaking my head again. When the game mattered most at the end, he drops a 50 yard dime.....there was a push off that wasn't called, but, man, Herbert is hanging some big ones to even try that throw on 3rd down and 10 from your own 10....JFC......that dude has attitude. I think the middle finger on his left hand was extended for more than one reason.

I love that the most important thing about the Chefs scoring a TD is what Taylor Swift thinks. :funny:

* Josh Allen looked "on" today. You could tell after there was no beating him after the first couple drives. Not sure why that guy doesn't show up
for the playoffs, though.
* CJ Stroud so far out performing Bryce Young and Anthony Richardson. Still think he has the lowest upside of those three.
* I didn't think the Bengals would win the SB this year, but I also had no idea they were going to be this bad. Wow.

He didn't seem to be getting a lot of pressure; though he made some nice throws on the run. I "think" what happens is that he gets frustrated or tightens up in games are close later and makes bad decisions.

I haven't watched the 3 rookies that closely so I'll take your word for it.

Had no idea Josh Allen & Hailee Steinfeld were an item. Lucky bastard. :p

I'm thrilled my Titans defeated the Bengals 27-3. 2 reasons why I'm not overreacting to the Titans steamrolling what is most likely a bad Bengals team is because they haven't shown the ability to win on the road, and they haven't consistently won games.
Also, the Titans did get the benefit of Burrow who is recovering from an injury that happened in training camp, and most likely he's fearful of getting injured in the regular season so it really wasn't a surprise that Burrow didn't run vs. the Titans.

The Cowboys had a great rebound game since they steamrolled the hapless Patriots 38-3 in a game which is the worst loss for Coach Belichick because of the margin which is 35.
It was an awful performance by Jones who was responsible for 3 turnovers.
It's not an overreaction to say the 1-3 Patriots are a terrible team that most likely won't make the Playoffs. The Patriots will be competing to be less terrible than the Jets in the AFC East.

The Patriots with Jones as the QB have never shown the ability to come back to win games.
The Patriots defense hasn't shown to be reliable because they've given up more than 20 points in 3 of 4 games, and the Patriots haven't shown the ability to score more than 20 points this season.

It looks like this year's AFC south might be, uh......last year's AFC south. :funny:

Hmmmmm.......gee, maybe I was wrong......:o

I did enjoy Collinsworth's priceless moral victory speech because Wilson improved his play in NFL Week 4 after his performance vs. the Patriots.
He did play better, however, it was fruitless and wasted because the Jets didn't win the game.

Moral victories are rose-colored glasses view of pretty losses which are a team prospers enough to have a realistic chance to win except still loses because of getting outplayed by the other team.

How the Giants got three primetime games in the span of the first week of the month is beyond me. They've been consistently bad in this spot. I hope it's just the schedule-makers trying to get this crap out of the way early.

So......bruh.....stay away from those kids. Either that or we can dump buckets of paint on them from the rafters of the studio. I'd actually like that commercial.
