Night Owl's costume better than Batman's

The comparisons are understandable. However, we really didn't get to see much combat from Dan while costumed as The Night Owl (II). Unfortuantely, the film came across much more like noir drama than a superhero flick. There was a surprising lack of crime fighting for a film centered around characters that are crime fighters. I didn't catch if Night Owl's costume was intended to be bullet proof. As far as Batman goes, I would love to have seen an iteration of him that was a gritty golden age-esque take. Something along the lines of Alex Ross (ie no body armor) would be neat.

Yeah, emphasize the detective more than the fighter. Batman's all about avoiding big fights and taking people out in a stealthy manner. It's how he can combat 600 men. It certainly isn't head on.

Yah the costume designer for Night Owl totally should be hired for Nolan's third Batman film.

yeah it wasnt like he fought during the prison riot or at the end of the movie:whatever:

There was so much variety to the Watchmen costumes: from cheesy (the first generation heroes) to amazing (nightowl) and just downright ridiculous (moth? first ozymandias eyegear). But I think they really did an amazing job with the nightowl costume. It looks durable, thin enough to move around in, and doesn't scream wetsuit.

In Batman Begings, I wasn't too impressed with the transition from ninja with Wonderwoman bracers (which were kind of cool) to the thick rubber suit. I always wished they could have gotten some inspiration from the cloth look from the comics.
