top 10 moments and scenes in a CBM?

I've been reading comics for 24 years, so my favorite moments are the ones that are literally lifted right off the page for the most part. And I like action scenes the most. Here are some that come to mind.

1. Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin finale - that was perfect! Still the best movie adaptation I've ever seen from a comic.

2. Spider-Man 2 dumping his costume in the trash - literally directly from the comics

3. Amazing Spider-Man 2 putting Electro out with the hose - classic Spidey and the way he originally beat Electro in the comics

4. Amazing Spider-Man 2 coming to face the Rhino - the Rhino itself looked terrible being a small man in a machine, but the scene was great

5. Batman raining on Joker's parade in Batman (1989)

6. Thor vs. Loki in Thor - probably the best MCU fight I've seen so far

7. The First Avenger - Steve's transformation scene and hunting down the assassin were perfect

8. Iron Man tricking Iron Monger into freezing. That's the way that fight should have ended. I love when comic book movies use something from earlier against the villain as the decisive edge. They made up for that with the way they got rid of Crimson Dynamo or whatever BS name they gave him in Iron Man 2.

9. Batman in the church/vs. the Joker in the finale of Batman (1989)

10. The way they built up Captain America's inner strengths in boot camp - diving on a fake grenade, bringing down the flag, etc. was brilliant.

Ok, in no particular order, all great for different reasons so hard to put one above another:

* Batman and Joker interrogation scene - (TDK)

* Spiderman V Doc Ock train sequance (SM2)

* "Whatever happens tomorrow you must promise me one thing, that you will stay who you are, not a perfect soldier but a good man" (CAP:TFA)

* Evey's awakening (V for Vendetta)

* "What kind of Monster are you?" Logan V Shingen (TW)

* Street Battle Cap V TWS (CA:TWS)

* Blade opening nightclub scene (Blade)

* "A hero can be anyone" (TDKR)

* "You abandoned us all!" (XM.DOFP)

* Nightcrawler attacks the whitehouse (X2)

This is tough to narrow down to 10.It may change a little from time to time,but this is the best I can do....


10. The Avengers Assembled for the first time.Standing in a circle,Cap giving the orders.It deserves a place in the top 10

9 "Why do you come here,Charles?-Why do you ask questions to which you already now the answer?" Everything between Patrick & Ian is excellent,but this first chess scene is probably the best.

8 "Bring me to life..." It's very sad scene that works on many levels.Electra is getting ready for a showdown with DD (who is getting ready to try and save her from Bullseye). She's training hard and is admittedly skilled,but she doesn't stand a chance against Bullseye. At the end of the scene as she looks in the mirror,you get the sense she knows it too.

7 "She's gone-Psalm 23" Everything with Nightcrawler was great,but his prayer amid the backdrop of Logan/Scott's pain was very poignant.

6 Batman & The Joker "You just couldn't let me go...."Everyone loves the interrogation scene,but if I had to pick one or the other,I've got to go with this one."I think we're destined to do this forever."


5 "Who has the answers,Wolverine?!?- I'll take my chances with him."Loved every scene between Jackman & Cox

4 The Goblin's attack on the "World Unity Festival" I like the dark irony in how people are cheering him as part of the act,just before he starts a killing spree.Fun to actually see two men in masks fight.Ironically,it's a rarity in CBM

3 "I never said thank you....-And you'll never have to"That's what Batman is all about Charlie Brown.

2 "General,would you care to step outside?" Basically every Supe scene is a winner in SM II,but this was definitely a "stand up and cheer" moment.

1 "Take my hand,and swear eternal loyalty...to Zod."CRACK! Gotta be the sweetest payoff in a CBM.Zod is the baddest of the bad and has been built up since the opening scene of the first film.Supes deals with him using his intellect,whilst giving him some needed payback.

1. Batman vs Bane, part II. This scene has grown on me. I love how Batman throws "...and then you have my permission to die" back in Bane's face.

2. Bane's army ransacking Gotham.

3. Prince Nuada vs the Elfin Court.

4. Joker crashes the mob meeting.

5. Two-Face threatening Gordon's family.

6. Crane's court.

7. Batman vs Scarecrow, part I.

8. Ra's Al Ghul trying to convince Bruce to execute the criminal

9. Hellboy and Abe in the Troll Market

10. Spider-Man vs Green Goblin in their last battle
