Nightcrawler absence, here's why

I thought that as well ... but thought that he might turn around and say that she might not have been cast yet when they made the game, so they just used some image of someone. But I would think that, if the part was not cast yet for the movie, they would not use anyone's image. Right?

And from what I read about the game, there is no reason for her to be in it or mentioned in it since this is leading up to the new movie.

And this part may be real and true to what you said, but it still does not mean you have the game. I mean, what you told us is exactly what we see there, so anyone that saw that clip can say they have it. But that clip did NOT have that image of Beast above with the fake magazines. Same goes for Nightcrawler leaving ... If it is true though, I do not think anything is wrong with his explanation. At least we see him give it instead of going into this movie wondering 'where the hell is he' .. what kind of reason were you looking for?

I am not going to argue the authenticity of this with you any longer. There are only 4 days left until I get the game, so I will just wait until then

Umm...so what? It's not like Nightcrawler was formally recognized as a member of the X-Men in the film. Not by his words, or that of another persons. This reason for him being absent in X3, while bland and uncreative, serves its purpose.

The real reason he left:

Fox wrote him out of the movie and didn't want to pay for Nightcrawler.

Kind of like how they wrote Cyclops out of the Phoenix story.

This seems pretty accurate.

Alan even opened up his summer schedule for the movie, until he was cut out. Serious. They kept shifting the production time around until late July (Alan was expecting a May-August shoot). Then they just wrote him out.

There was nothing that showed Nightcrawler joining the X-Men at the end of X2. The great thing about them not telling us where he went in the movie is you can use your own imagination. Did he stay there for a while, learning from Xavier, and then go off and become a priest? Did he and Storm have a fling? Did he and Wolverine become friends? Did he get stoned to death?

Use your imagination.

That pic of Beast and Xavier and ''Moira" and ''Gambit" is in fact from the game. I have played the game up to the Iceman vs Pyro Power Plant level.

I work at Movie Gallery, I just happened to find my boss playing it yesterday and rented it, I still have it on reserves, but I wanted to get a head start on it. It's a decent game. The Nightcrawler/Iceman levels really make you feel like your the character.

I just want to know what kind of reason people were expecting with this? I was not expecting anything more than this when I first heard about this part being in the game. Not sure what everyone wanted him to say. As someome mentioned above, from the movie, he was never a definite part of the team, so with that, no reason really needed to be given at all.
