Post tweet reactions in this thread for The Last Jedi.

NO SPOILERS!!!

From the looks of initial reactions, it's not as good as expected but still very good.

There are only a handful of mixed tweets.

Most are raves with some "best SW ever" tweets sprinkled in.

Reactions seem to be overwhelmingly positive so far, and I CANNOT WAIT. No spoilers for me this time around... I went into TFA knowing practically everything, but not this time.

I have a feeling TLJ won't be as crowd pleasing as TFA, but will probably be one of the best Star Wars movies, if that makes sense. Empire Strikes Back is the best in the franchise, but to children and the short attention spanned nose picking crowd, it's the boring one.

The tweets are pretty much everything I wanted to hear so far. There's no way I'm going into that spoiler thread until after I've seen it. Friday can't get here soon enough.

I have no idea what you’ve been reading, but I’ve read over 30 tweets that state the complete opposite :loco:

Yeah the reactions are more positive than the pregnancy test of a woman expecting quintuplets. Were the initial reactions for Rogue One this glowing? I hope not because that movie was such a disappointment to me, lol.

They're saying it's very different to what came before. Interesting..

Thursday can't come quick enough.

Interesting...

To CLARIFY: I liked #TheLastJedi very much. I just didn’t love it. It has some great #StarWars moments, but it’s too slow, it’s too long, and it doesn’t take any chances. It’s all very familiar, which should make diehard fans happy. I guess.

No, I thought it took some big chances. I also think they didn't all pay off, but it's still one of the best Star Wars movies.

Not sure if I can trust that guy though, he disagrees with me about Rogue One. :thf:

Interesting...
It seems that Star Wars fans are firmly in one camp or another in the Disney/Lucasfilm era - the Episode saga camp or the Star Wars Story/Rogue One camp. I'm in the former. I was completely underwhelmed by Rogue One and charmed by Episode VII.

I also find it odd to see Looper at the bottom of his list of Rian Johnson movies. I think it's absolutely brilliant and it's a big reason why I thought he was perfect for Star Wars.

I guess I'm in both camps then seeing as I love the OT and TFA and RO. And I'm not a PT hater, I have problems with them but I still enjoy them a lot. More so I enjoy TPM and ROS. Different strokes for different folks, matters of different opinions and preferences.

I have 3 star stars movies I love in TFA, ESB,ROTJ and 3 I like but don't love in R1, NH, ROTS and 2 I cant stand in TPM and AOTC.

1. ROTJ- I think I love this one the most because of the stuff with the empear and Vader.
2. TFA- loved the new characters and this brought back my love after the prequles mostly destroned my love for star wars
3. ESB- took ever thing about the first movie and made it better in like ever way possible.
4. R1- Like this movie but don't love it big thing compared to the top 3 is I didn't care for the characters like at all they where just basicly there also not having John doing the music really hurt was just not the same.
5. NH- I like this movie but I think it has aged the worst of the first 3 and it is kind of a slow movie with introducing ever one.
6. ROTS- Still a lot of flaws but much better then 1 and 2 and over all I can watch this movie a lot.
7. AOTC- This movie and TPM I try to forget they even happened there is basicly nothing good about either of them but I think this one slightly more then TPM because it at least has the Yoda fight but they are both just crap. AOTC and TPM I have only watched like 3 times each in my life time and was disappointed and hated them day 1 even though I was only 10 when Episode 1 come out and 13 when AOTC came out.
8. TPM

TLJ I think could be my favorite we will see but I think it has a shoot has TFA was so good and this movie I think has a lot of protentional to be even better.

I'm more in the Rogue One camp..

However, I just think Rian Johnson is a much better director than JJ. So I think I'll love The Last Jedi.

Ya know at some point people really need to stop saying this is tue best star wars film since empire strikes back especially since its been said now the past 2 years in a row.

While some people are just like that lol. For me I hated Episodes 1 and 2 from day 1 so it not like I say that kind of thing. TFA I like when I first saw it but I liked it a lot more after I saw it a 2nd time so its not like I said that when I first saw that one either. R1 I never had in my top 3 star wars movies. From what I have seen I think most people would have TFA at either 2nd or 3erd best star wars movie behind ESB and NH for me its 2nd though has you can see by my rankings I posted earlier.

I am slowly getting more pumped by the day especially after all these tweets. Still gonna temper my expectations though.
