after seeing the film, i'm glad they treated it with respect, the got the name right, along with the Provence. that and the goblins accent was superb. i'm curious to see what was on set as i know none of the actors came here.

thankfully the rumours of leprechauns and banhsee's the whole stereotype crap was untrue

Sadly none of the actual scenes were filmed in Northern Ireland, but a number of plate shots were filmed in N.I. and the scenes edited into them. The Bethmoora entrance scene with the moving stone portal was filmed on a very hot Hungarian hillside and the background (and stone portal!) was added later.

John Alexander (who also plays Johann) played the Bethmoora Goblin, but his voice was later dubbed by an Ulsterman.

I actually thought the accent from the ogre wasnt the best, but it didnt bother too much.

Yeah, the accent could have been more Irish-ish.

I thought it sounded really Ulster... extremely well done.

as dk90 said the accent was spot on take it from someone who knows what an ulster accent is like:woot:

it's really off putting watching a film and hearing a stereotypical irish accent
