When I was a kid, it was Nick at Nite and Disney all the way. I once had a teacher make a reference to Maynard G. Crebbs, and he was shocked when I said "Wasn't that Bob Denver on the Doby Gillis Show?" You couldn't tear me away from some old black & white TV on the late night. On Disney, I watched Zorro every night, and I even remember seeing movies like the original Absent Minded Professor and Thoroughly Modern Milly. Raspberries!
On the weekends, I always watched SNICK, then switched over to USA to watch Duckman and Weird Science. I also watched a lot of MADtv and SNL. Oh, and there was a time when Nick at Nite played the Lucy/Desi Comedy Hour immediately after SNICK every Saturday.
But then I got older. USA ended their late night block, MADtv stopped being funny, SNL was only worth watching for Weekend Update, SNICK was dead to me, and Disney started replacing their late night old shows and movies with One Saturday Morning reruns before abandoning that for more reruns of their current shows. Even Nick at Nite has reached the point where they're playing reruns of shows I already grew up watching.
