In the scene at Bruce's birthday party, a woman introduces Bruce to Ras Al Ghul. Bruce then turns to the man and says, "You're not Ras Al Ghul, I watched him die," but there was no reaction on the woman's face, she just kind of disappeared after that. Can anybody explain that?

were you watching the full screen version or widescreen?

She has a slight reaction when Neeson begins to speak she turns her head as if to see who is talking but then walks away. Its a little odd. But these stiffe upperclass people will quickly dissassociate themselves from conversations that are'nt healthy.:yay:

I have the widescreen, but I guess your explanation makes sense. Thanks a lot.

I watched Begins weeks ago, in the hotel where is asks european women you know "swim" in the pool I saw cameo by BB director Nolan he was sitting next to a woman it looks like him tho.

I don't exactly remember who the woman was that introduced Ra's to Bruce, but I remember Ra's explaining to Bruce how deep corruption went in Gotham. I partly think the woman was working with Ra's in some way.

What?? no Mrs Delany I think Bruce called her I'm not sure anyway she's one of them rich old women who knew Bruce

I also thought that was strange but I just put down to narrative convenience. You need to move on the with story. There's heaps of instances like that BB.

It is really weird. First time I saw it I thought either the old lady was Ra's henchwoman or she was under a trance when she introduced him to Bruce.

What I can't explain is how Bruce reacted the way he did 'Ra's al Ghul is dead' while the lady was - or could have been - there listening.

I dunno......I mean, Bruce didn't exactly say he saw Ra's get hit by a giant plywood and burn to death.

But, yeah.....she seemed to totally back out of the conversation when he said that.

I guess Bruce's drunk talk later, and then burning down the mansion, might have covered his ass on that one.

I got it, she's a ninja.

I saw it again. Bruce tells something to the extent of 'You're not Ra's al Ghul. I saw him dead,' and the old lady is pretty much there and listening to all of that.

Can't explain how Bruce did that in front of her. But the real question is how the lady didn't react to those lines.

That part always fascinated me.

She just kind of walked away when Ra's started talking to Bruce. Not a word uttered from her. It looked like the false Ra's led her away, which implied she was working for them, and the meeting was a set up.

She was one of those bald guys in disguise.

It goes back to when Ra's said they had infiltrated every layer of Gotham. Hence, that the woman probably was in cahoots with Ra's and just look at the expression on the woman's face after Bruce realizes what is happening right in front of him.

I dunno.....I'll look at it again, but I remember her walking away with an awkward look on her face, like "wtf"? type.

Its been a while since I've viewed the film. I do remember how strange that scene was though and the woman telling Bruce that there is someone he should meet. Quite an odd scenario. Possibly could have been a setup.

She was Leslie Thompkins in disguise, she knew Bruce would get defensive so she backed away. ;)
