Comics November X-Solicits

:D

I really hope the mutants shown on that Uncanny cover are the new Uncanny Line-up

Well, we've seen Cyke, Angel, and Nightcrawler in Finch art. Along with Emma and... I forget. Was it Wolvie?

But Wolvie'll be around in the X-Factor issues too, by that cover.

I dunno. I bet we're not going to see any solid team rosters through Messiah Complex. Which is going to be awesome.

Check out the cover for Die By the Sword, which of course is the crossover Claremont is doing with Exiles and New Ex. Y'know, I hadn't even thought of the possibility, and I might throw this over in the Exiles thread, too.

The Longshot they recruited is the actual Longshot. And now he and Dazzler will be meeting up. Think Claremont can pull it off without screwing it up?

I guess that was wishful thinking. What were the chances of separating Scott from Emma anyway? :o

Longshot and Dazzler have history?

I hope not. Its all A listers. I want some B list mutants mixxed in. I do hope that Warren is here to stay. We wont see the actual UXM cast till next year so this isnt going to be the new team

He's an original. That screams A-list. He's been away for a while but that shouldn't take away from his star status

He's the red-headed step-child of the O5.

Cyke: The #1 leader of the X-men. He's always present in the comics and adaptations.

Beast: Very popular and is the official science officer of the x-men. He's beloved for his personality, and frequently utilized for technobabble and deaus ex machina technology.

Jean: Has one of the best stories in comicdom written about her that *always* gets translated in some form to adaptations.

Iceman: One of the most popular x-men despite relatively little focus.

Angel: Barely gets any focus outside of "O5 reunion" type things. Sometimes doesn't even show up in adaptations outside of cameos.

Longshot and Dazzler have history?
I'm pretty sure I have the two right characters. Dazzler went with Longshot to Mojoworld to fight, and I think the two of them were together and she got pregnant. Until the baby disappeared or some such stupid nonsense so that Dazzler wouldn't be pregnant anymore and could be a superhero again.

And then Longshot in Exiles was amnesiac when he joined the team, or something.

I'd say Angel's an A-list character.

He's not an obscure no-name character from X-Statix or X-Force or any X-spinoff series. He's not a villain that fades into obscurity from mis-use. In fact, even though Angel has been rarely used, he's not faded into obscurity. And no, we'll not place the reason for that on him being in the craptastic X3.

He's not obscure in the slightest. And his place as one of the original 5 puts him in the A-list category. When a writer brings him in, people don't scratch their heads and go "Wait, who's this chump?" And I'd say that character-wise, he'd have respect from other X-Men, which also adds weight to him being an A-lister. Unlike, you know, a B- or C- or lower-lister.

He's known because of his O5 status, but he doesn't have the reader interest or frequency of use to qualify as A-list.

So as soon as a character is not used for some amount of time, they lose their A-list status card?

And if that's the case, if Havok, Polaris, and Rachel were all A-list status cardholders, since they haven't been used between the last Uncanny issue they were in, and won't be used until the first issue of Emperor Vulcan, is that long enough for them to lose their status? Inquiring minds want to know the ins and outs!

I could buy Angel possibly being B-list, but I'd still say he's A-list.

I think this deserves it's own topic.

I don't. This in and of itself is already too much. :cmad:

What? Weren't you *dying* to know who's an A-list and who's a B-list?:woot:

I'm sure it's no coincidence that they both share that starburst symbol.

To be fair, a lot of people have long considered Havok, Polaris, and Rachel B-listers too...

There's no way Angel is an a-lister.
Warren is most definetly an A lister. All of the original 5 are

Thats only something that has happened in the past 3 years. Warren has for the most part consistantly been in a book since his first appearance back in the 60s. He went from X-men to Champions, back to X-men, then Defenders, to X-factor until finally rejoining the X-men were he stayed up until the Excalibur gang returned and the editors forced out the majority of the characters. He soon returned when the teams were reformed and stayed up until Reload. he was set to appear in New Excalibur but aside from his intro arc, it was scrapped when the book was cancelled. He's finally coming back as he should have been a long time ago
