Don't really see how they dropped the ball at all really. They still have a great list of content for a day 1 launch.
It’s got to be some licensing issue with the lack of DC movies. Hopefully we’ll start seeing the Nolan TDK movies and MOS on there in the coming months.
I guess what’s disappointing to me is that they had put out a list of Day 1 Launch titles and the ones I was looking forward to didn’t end up actually being on there. Most likely licensing issues.
Good that Comcast has come on board.
But HBO Max really needs to sort things out and broker a deal so that the service is on Roku and Amazon Fire stick.

So that got taken off Netflix? Well, that would be fine if I could get on this!!!I didn’t realize they had Rurouni Kenshin!

By the way, if you are a fan of RK and haven't seen them, may I suggest the live action film adaptations. They are probably my favorite anime adaptations and just really great in general imo. Even the dub is pretty fantastic. Sadly the last two films which were suppose to come out this summer got delayed until next spring.
Yeah, it's a head scratcher why they didn't work those out right away.
I'm confused with the deal with Apple TV. I can see HBO Max in my Apple TV phone app (albeit the interface is limited and not as pretty as the original HBO Max interface) so I figured if you go to Apple TV through your Amazon Fire stick then you can access HBO Max too? But I tried it on my TV and I couldn't see HBO Max (just HBO Go).
I think Funimation has the streaming rights, though you can probably rent them else where. I have been checking Crunchyroll, but haven't found anything.Oooohhhh.... Where can I watch them?! I got hooked on anime during HS and I think I've even seen a RK anime film (was there one? IDK maybe I just imagined it) back then but I think I've moved to a different phase/obsession by the time the live action films came out but now I'm feeling nostalgic and finding myself watching them again.
I haven't heard anything yet that it is.I'm probably way behind the curve on this but is that DC app (that didn't come out here) getting folded into HBO Max?
