But why? These movies are already made and originals
Warner Bros. Discovery has been quietly culling content from HBO Max — including several Warner Bros. movies that were exclusively streaming on the service — in what appears to be an effort to cut costs.
Not even sure how to feel about all these developments…It honestly sounds like a studio planning to offload a bunch of assets in the near future.
I only pointed that out to say at least they're not lost in the ether forever like Batgirl is. They're not lost media. But I’m already paying for Max. I should be able to watch Max originals with it

That's just it, they don't own them "free and clear". They don't want to pay residuals. It's a gross and disgusting practice, that really makes me want to cancel my HBO sub. Which I've had for 13 years.I don’t really care about those particular movies and I understand stuff cycles in streaming. But it is about what this means. If you aren’t keeping your own films that you own free and clear, then why have HBO Max at all? It really seems like they are killing the service.

Pictures come and go...but a bop is foreverThat's like when someone keeps deleting 10-20 photos off their phone instead of the 50gbs of music, when their phone keeps warning them their storage is full.
That's what I've gotten from this.Just to clear this up, HBO "Max" scripted are getting swindled... but HBO (regular) is technically ok overall - even though HBO stuff also streams on the HBO Max app.
