On a side note, do I think there are bad cops out there? Yes. Does that mean all cops are bad? No. I think it's almost a knee jerk reaction for people to assume that cops are in the wrong without knowing all the events.

That's true. But it seems that in this case, these cops were in fact guilty of being reckless, irresponsible or just downright incompetent.

Is that the official shot count? If so, Cop 1 and possibly Cop 2 definitely warrant investigation for use of excessive force. The other three were there, so they'd need to be investigated as well. For something with that many shots fired, it's standard procedure.

Not that it makes it any better, but I believe it was 2 clips, 16 shots each clip. My opinion is that we will never know what truly happened. Maybe all the cops thought the other bullets were from the "suspects"? As I also understand, Oliver thought the "suspects" were trying to run him over, which in a sense they probably were, they didn't know he was a cop and he's firing a gun at them. I would have tried to run him over too. I think this is all a case of one party not know what the hell the other party was doing, and as far as punishment, those found guilty of using exessive force should be thrown off the force and that's all. If I felt my life was in danger, I might have reacted in the same way, and color would have not been a factor.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what size clips they were carrying. Still, that's a hell of a lot of shots, regardless. Particularly from mostly one cop. At any rate, something went horribly wrong, here. If I had plainclothes cops shooting at me and I didn't know they were cops, I'd probably have done my best to get the hell away from them as well.

However my point was semi-serious. I personally think it is a bit blown out of porportion. I doubt it was racially motivated. And lets not forget "The Groom" HIT A COP WITH HIS CAR WHILE TRYING TO FLEE. These guys were under cover, they were probably already on edge from that. They tried to stop him, he fled and hit one of them in the process. I would've opened fire too.

Well it turns out that they paid an informant to lie about where he bought the drugs, in order to justify the shooting. Of course this is just one of the rare times where this was discovered. Theirs no telling how many people's good names have been slandered by these rotten pigs.

Thats all pig bull****. First of all if the car was moving then the pigs should not have been shooting in the first place. The pigs are not supposed to shoot at moving vehichles. And theirs no way in hell someone in queens new york would yell "Im going to get my gun" if they didnt have one. Maybe when you're younger. When I was a kid, I had so many tickets that I lost my license for three months...TWICE. As I got older, though, and stopped doing stupid sh1t that could get me in trouble, my view of the police changed to a much more positive one.
