I already told my Dad who works in the Bay Area and is in Oakland a lot, to call in sick the day they are going to announce the verdict.

People are stupid and there will be a riot even if he's found guilty. So many morons out there will just use that as an excuse to "celebrate".

I live in the Bay Area and there's a lot of gang violence, primarily in Oakland and more so in Richmond(Richmond is ****). There are shootings, stabbings and murders all the time with these ****ing Nortenos, Surenos and the Border Brothers gangs. It has the cops on edge and that's a big reason why they use so much physical force, they're not taking chances.

The huge downside of that though, is that a lot of innocent minorities get harrassed. So this case, much like the Rodney King case looks especially bad because it's another case of a white man beating/killing a minority. There still will be riots if and most likely when he's convicted but if he were to get off with a slap on the wrist, just like the LA riots, Oakland will be chaotic.

Personally, he is guilty but no way in hell did he mean to shoot him. I have a few friends that actually think he meant to do that but no one is that stupid. There were doooozens of people right behind him all holding out cellphones taking pictures and footage. It was an accident but it's the biggest and dumbest accident of that guy's life.

I agree. He was literally on top of the guy and he wasn't moving, he was pinned down and for the most part restrained.

It's not a race debate. Noone can prove that the cop's actions were racially motivated & even if they weren't, even if he's just incompetent rather than corrupt, he needs to pay for what he's done.

That happens when they give a cop a relative slap on the wrist for shooting an unarmed person. I really doubt if the guy was convicted of the higher charges there would have been any riots.

4 years or 40 years, it doesn't matter. He's probably a dead man when he gets to prison, unless he's in solitary for the entire sentence.

They could have given him the death penalty and those *****e bags in that city would still have "rioted".

Wow. I don't know how dude is only getting 2-4 years for killing someone. It makes no sense! I saw the video and yeah maybe he did get it mixed up(how the freak do you get your taser mixed up with your pistol?!)but he killed someone! That's manslaughter! Would I riot? No, but there is no excuse for this.
