Off To California: Any Ideas?

hey guys, ive decided im going to head out to California in a couple months to see about becoming an actor. I was wondering if you guys wanted me to bring a couple ideas for films you'd like to see in the future to show or write up a screenplay. ive been noticing people are becoming dissappointed by the new films coming out so i wanted to at least get your guy's ideas as a start. I've already done "David and Goliath" for a start. so if you happen to think of anything, let me know because i'd be happy to devote to it. Thanks!

There are a couple. well, not set on WWII, but like "Saving Private Ryan" or a few Holocaust movies. tell me what you had in mind

im going to try. if no one feels they cant step forward to studios, i will be glad to do it for them

no, but im going to try. i have an agent, i have a few screenplays on me, i have my own tripod and camera in case im in the mood to practice or capture something i might never get again, i have a variety of different books/ideas that have not been brought to cinema that i spent loads of money on just for the sake of keeping it fresh. im just getting started, i will find a way to do this one way or another. i wont give up

In other words....your sincere belief that you will just go out to Hollywood, walk into all the major studios offices, and say "Hi guys, are you ready to produce my script into a multi-million dollar extravaganza?" and they will through the money at you....is not held by the rest of the people here.

that wasnt what i was trying to say. i know there are rejections, i understand. but this is a dream, i can try. im trying to be nice enough by asking people and all you do is avoid the positives and shoot back to negatives. it is not impossible

Even if there is a slim chance you are successful, I'm not too keen on giving my ideas to you and then you end up profiting from them.

Being tenacious is good, not letting us unbelievers get to you is good.
Just understand that a great many actors and actresses have gone to Hollywood and have been swallowed up by the underlying vileness of it.
There are a lot of sharks out there that'll take you for everything you're worth and then some, go there unprepared and you'll eventually relinquish all dignity until you are but a burnt out shell of what you once thought you were.

you see, im trying my best to get prepared. im not going straight to the studios and expecting something immediately. but i at least wanted something to bring with me besides what i had in mind because usually, what i have in mind alone isnt good enough. so im trying to expand, open my mind to new styles and ideas.

Look at your posts here.

You say you are going to California to become an actor. You can become an ACTOR anywhere, and I dare say the stage scene in New York is one of the better places to perfect acting. It sounds more like you want to be a celebrity instead.

You ask for people to submit thier story ideas to you so that you can get them made. Now you are not concerned about acting, but rather producing...and you show that you have no knowlege of the business if you think a brand new wantabe actor in Hollywood can just pitch his ideas (or other people's ideas in this case) to a studio and expect them to get made.

Something I usually try to not mention on the site is spelling or punctuation. But since you are talking about a professional position you are seeking, I have to say that if you tried presenting your ideas out there the same way you presented them here....they would not be taken seriously at all.

This isn't being simply negative and trying to put you down...it is giving you things to think about before a decision is made.

but its straying off the entire reason i made this thread. its not "Hey im going to be a huge success, anyone want to help me throw out a new film?". i understand that i am not professional by any means, but i practice and i try. all i wanted were some things that you guys thought would be cool to see in the future. thats all. i never made promises, but you dont get anywhere without trying

How about a time machine movie? 1 or 2 people go back in time to do stuff, and then when they return to the present, things are different.

The entertainment industry lives off of the long drawnout complicated signed CONTRACT.....I'm sure that Knight Rise saying he got his idea for Movie ABC from Prison Mike while talking on SHH will be worth the paper it is printed on.
