Sequels Offical Bishop Casting thread

I would rather they cast a character that looks like Bisihop rather than a character that looks like what Bishop WOULD look like IF he was a typical aborigine-american.

Thats cos bishops a drawing.( I genuinly attribute it to "they all look the same, who will know", which is damn insulting..and all the more reason, IMO, that of Bishop ever does get on the screen, that they should make an effort to find a suitable actor of aboriginal australian background, even if they end up with some one more polynesian in appearance like the guy that was posted earlier in this thread)

I do agree with you though, in as much as i have no doubt that him being aboriginal probably wasnt the idea at the time he was created, its now official,and on his Marvel bio.(the only thing i can think of is that at the beginning he had pretty straight hair, which is a common australoid trait, but not a common negroid one.and Bishop never struck me as the type to have a set of straightening irons in his kit bag.

I think Portacio had intended Bishop to be somewhat of a pimp. But thats just plain dumb making gateway his grandfather. About the black thing, Gateway may be his grandfather. Whos his grandmother then??????

and even if i wouldn't be dumb enough to think that FOX would go out of it's way to make Bishop aboriginal, considering they havent lost sleep over storm not being african, or Colossus not being russian, or Rogue being a lousy Southern Belle

Michael Jai White! He would be absolute perfect casting. Others I would like to see(but i wouldnt whine if the person they chose to play him could act) are:

sticky fingaz...after seeing him as blade I think he could pass as bishop.

Tyrese Gibson will proubly be Bishop. He is already from what I heard at IGN in the line for the role of Cage I think.

or prefferably an unknown. There are many brothers that are swole over 6'3 that can't find work because Hollywood admires and chooses tiny little cutieboy s. Dont ruin my favorite X character (second to the Punisher)

Keith Hamilton Cobb is who I'd cast as Bishop.

Bishop is a big guy, a bruiser, not a martial artist, so to me someone like Mike Jai White (who should've been the new Blade), is all wrong.

Cobb is a chisled 6'5", and a trained stage actor, possessing the screen presence and voice to pull off Bishop as though he were ripped from the comics. There's simply no other known choice, in my mind.
