I like Sonic, but Mario has a special place in my heart.

I was a Nintendo kid when I was growing up and I spent hours playing Mario. I owned a Mario doll (what the hell happened to him anyways), had cans of Mario soda, watched the Mario cartoons, and just outright adored Mario. Whenever I play Super Smash Bros., I'm either Link or Mario. So yes, I am a Nintendo fan. I FREAKING LOVE NINTENDO!

Again Sonic is cool but he's past his prime. I hated Sonic Adventures (cool playing Sonic, but I hated playing the rest of the characters). Sonic Heroes blew. And after the suckage of Sonic Heroes, I didn't even bother with Shadow the Hedgehog especially since I heard that they decided to give him guns and the reviews came out.

The only way I can see Sonic being cool again is if they basically took the Sonic part of Sonic Adventures and get rid of the ******ed sidekicks. No Amy. No Big. No Shadow. No whatever. Just Sonic and only Sonic.

I'm in agreement with you Hipster...did you play Sonic and the Secret Rings? That's basically what they did, brought Sonic back to basics and dropped the unneeded characters.

Best Sonic game since Sonic 3 in my opinion.

It has a few problems here and there, but what it does well, it does really well. Like I said, they dropped the useless side characters and made it a Sonic only affair, and on top of that it is nice to look at. One of the first games that you can say prove that the Wii can make some really nice graphics and animations.

What Ever people are just hating on Shadow Because he is starting to get more popular than Sonic. Which I have no problem with even though how much I like the Blue Blur, it just showed that Sega made a good move on making him. And If you don't agree and you say somthing like: "No Shadow is just Lame". Then I dont care because I will always love Shadow.

Shadow was pretty darn cool, but sega ruined himin subsequent games. He should havebecome the Sonic version of Dante in a way. Using his coas control and energy for burts of attacked, alterign time, teloporting. etc. He should of had the speed of Sonic but his Shadow the Hedgehog game should have been far more combat focused with special attack moves etc, for a rough template look t the Soni GBA fighting game.

But sega sucks.

I'm a sonic fan too...alot more than mario...i always found the mario games on the nes and snes boring (apart from yoshi's island which was brilliant!)

i preferred sonic easily over them...i also enjoyed sonic adventure more than mario 64.

i was thinking of buying a Wii...but for every good review i read i got put off by a bad one.
sonic and the secret rings was one of the reasons for getting a Wii.
