Almost everyone has been forgetting about this game when talking about GOTY and I'm assuming thats because it is on the Wii but I think it'll be a very strong contender if not the winner. It looks amazing, everything they've said about it has sounded amazing. I can't wait for the game.

At least Nintendo isn't going dumb like Sony and not making the Wii-U backwards compatible, that would be just plain stupid. Looking forward to playing Skyward Sword on the Wii-U :D

so the Wii-U WILL be BC??

I was wondering about that, cuz I don't have a Wii, and I wasn't sure if it was worth buying a Wii for Skyward Sword ( and a few other Wii titles ).

It will only be BC with Wii games, not Gamecube.

I'm replaying A Link to the Past. That game is harder than I remember. The sword has such lousy reach.

will the game have orchestral music?

Yes, its a full orchestra playing all the songs which were composed by the man who composed the songs for the original legend of zelda I believe. The orchestra is going around the US with concerts and every Skyward Sword game will include the CD I think is what I read in Game Informer, part of the 25th anniversary deal :)

You asked a question and got an answer. No reason to be a dick about it.

This isn't a free country, it's a message board with rules to follow.

I don't think I did anything wrong but whatever, it's not worth the effort to fight or get an infraction.

Have any places announced preorder bonuses yet?

The only thing I have seen is the CD bundled with the game (may be limited to first runs/preorders) and the Gold Wiimote bundle on Amazon (Not sure if brick and mortar stores will get it, I know Kmart won't). Other than that, nothing, no credit offered on Walmart or Amazon. TRU and Target may have gift card bonuses but we won't know until a week or less before release.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the Collectors Edition from all retailers comes with both the CD and Golden Wii Remote.

If it is in brick and mortar stores, then I'm not sure if it's something that will still be available in the future or is just a limited run sort of deal. I suppose they could always drop the CD and replace the gold Wiimote Plus with a white/black one. Most of what I've read is from CheapAssGamer so I will relay anything new I see. If you do want that bundle, I would recommend pre-ordering to be sure.

Update: The Wiimote Plus bundle is no longer available on Amazon.

I hope they will perform "the ballad of the wind fish" from Link's Awakening on that cd, that song is so underrated. However the tracklist of that concert doesn't include that song.

Yeah, all collector's editions have the cd and gold wiimote. I was hoping Gamestop or Best Buy would be offering a preorder bonus, like a poster or something.

That's really the only time I preorder anymore, when there's incentive... I'll just wait and get it at TRU so I can use employee discount.

Just gave you the best answer I could accumulate to answer possibly other questions someone else reading the post might have.

I don't care and now you are talking to me. Quit being rude for no reason.
Thanks for the back up, he was being a little rude, but--whatever. Haters gonna hate. :awesome:

According to Game Informer Issue 222, page 57 (Special on Zelda, incase anyone else gets GI through the power-up rewards card thing from GameStop :) ) Both collectors edition and regular games will have the CD, although I'm sure the collectors edition one will have some kind of super spiffy cover on it :woot: Can't wait!

Ha ha ha, I love that song xP It's pretty awesome, it'd be super great if they would perform it while a zora, a goron, a deku and a kid dressed as link came out rockin' it out but I think that's wishful thinking lol

The weird thing it exists in 2 version from what I have heard. The original version, which I love, from Link's Awakening. And a completely different song in Majora's Mask.

I love the version at the end of the song of the Legend of Zelda Medley, from the Legend Of Zelda - Ocarina Of Time: Hyrule Symphony soundtrack. Great and dramatic cover of Ballad of the Wind Fish, but way too short.
