I wasn't aware the WW stuff was coming to the Wii U, too, that's the first I'm hearing of that.

There was mention that the Legends stuff would come to the Wii U version. Just didn't know how. It does look to be that we have to buy legends to get the new stuff.

Oh right, I remember that now. I forgot about that crap. Maybe it'll be sold separately at some point.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air a performance of a song from The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses.

People who have always wanted to see The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, but never been fortunate enough to live in a city where a performance would be happening, will have a chance to see a sample of the show. On October 13, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses performance will act as the musical guest for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

This musical appearance will be 10 days before the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. As such, footage from the game will also appear. Oh very cool. I don't have CBS, though, so I won't be able to tune in.

Skull-Kid-Playable-Hyrule-Warriors-Legends_10-06-15.jpg

Skull Kid, who first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, will be playable in Hyrule Warriors Legends for 3DS, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals. His weapon is an ocarina, and he battles in cooperation with a fairy.

Given that all characters from Hyrule Warriors Legends for 3DS will be playable in Hyrule Warriors for Wii U if you own both copies of the game, Skull Kid should be coming to the Wii U release, as well.
Additionally, Famitsu also reveals that Phantom Ganon will appear as a boss character.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will launch for 3DS in Japan on January 21, and in North America and Europe in Q1 2016.

There’s also a new system called the “Smash Boost Power,” which is used against the giant bosses. While using features such as “Player Change” or “Ocarina Warp” you can get four characters around the giant boss, and recover your magic meter, and other effects. Depending on the number of characters that show up, the Smash Boost Power will change.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is also introducing a new Wind Waker stage.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release in Japan on January 21, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. The game will release in early 2016 for North America and Europe.

Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Will Reward Players For Playing Together Locally. October 12, 2015 . 4:00am

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ producer and director talk about rewards for playing locally and details on how you’ll get to play with others online.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes director Hiromasa Shikata and series producer Eiji Aonuma recently spoke with 4Gamer about some of the perks of perks players will get for playing together locally.

4Gamer notes that there’s an item called “Proof of Friendship” that is needed to make special costumes, and asks if there will be a way to acquire it via solo play.

“We’ve set it up so that you can only get it from people you’ve played with through local play or download play,” answers Shikata.

“We mainly want people to play the game’s multiplayer,” adds Aonuma. “This time around, with three devices and one software you’ll get to play with everyone, and have a good time, which is what we wanted to do with this Zelda. I believe that it might be difficult to gather with buddies once you’re an adult, but I hope you get to do so in order to collect some Proof of Friendship.”

4Gamer asks if we’ll be able to get the Proof of Friendship from playing with others online.

“You won’t be able to get them through internet play,” answers Shikata, as Aonuma explains that he wants this feature to be some kind of way for friends to get together.

On that note, Shikata explains that the online mode will let you play with registered friends on your 3DS, but also with random players. For example, if you’re only playing with one other friend, you can fill the third slot with a random player.

Aonuma explains that the reason they’ve added Wi-Fi connectivity is because when Four Swords was released for the 25th anniversary, there were many people that took notice of its lack of Wi-Fi compatibility in a questionnaire, so they’ve decided that there should definitely be a way to let you play with friends online.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will release for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on October 22nd, in North America and Europe on October 23rd.

Heavily rumored we're getting Twilight Princess HD. I'd be very happy about that, as Twilight Princess is one of the Zelda games I never really played.

I would hope they would flip the world back around, like it was in the GC version. The flipped Hyrule is pretty annoying for me.

Love Twilight Princess. I do wish it was a 3DS remake though. I don't know why. Maybe because I can always just play it on my Wii U as is but I guess being all HD is the big upsale. Either way, TP, yay!

A Look At The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ Single Player Mode. October 14, 2015 . 9:00am

Two new videos give us a look into what it’s like playing single player mode in a title that encourages multiplayer cooperation.

Though multiplayer cooperation is the encouraged theme in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, the game still has a single player mode. These two recent videos from YouTube channels GameXplain and Nintendo Life show us exactly what it’s like to explore and solve puzzles without the assistance of two other people.
[YT]LCZhNIexoww[/YT]
The first video shows how it is possible in single player mode to switch between the three different Links in order to clear obstacles as well as reach different areas. We also see what a boss fight is like playing solo.

The second video gives us a better look at what exploring is like in single player mode, and how placement and usage of the two doppelganger Links is crucial to successfully reaching certain enemies and obtaining items.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will release for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on October 22nd, in North America and Europe on October 23rd, and in Australia on October 24th, 2015.

Check Your Inboxes For The Legend Of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Demo Codes. October 14, 2015 . 9:54pm

Nintendo has begun sending out eShop codes for a The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes,
the successor to Four Swords Adventure, is getting a demo. However, it isn’t like the Yo-Kai Watch demo arriving next week, where someone can log onto the Nintendo eShop and immediately access it. Nintendo has been sending out emails to people that include a code that can be redeemed in for a copy of the Nintendo 3DS game’s demo.
Once downloaded, players can go through a dungeon with up to two friends locally. There is no single player mode and no download play option for this The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo. However, there is online multiplayer at specific times.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo online multiplayer periods are as follows.

  • 10/16: 5pm – 10pm PT/7pm – 12am CT/8pm – 1am ET
  • 10/17: 5pm – 10pm PT/7pm – 12am CT/8pm – 1am ET
  • 10/18: 7am – 12pm PT/9am – 2pm CT/10am – 3pm ET

A minigame is also available in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes demo. If you’re in the lobby and run at a wall, a ball might appear. You can hit this ball in time with five songs from the series. The full game will include this same minigame, but offer 23 songs.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will come to the Nintendo 3DS on October 23.

Love Twilight Princess. I do wish it was a 3DS remake though. I don't know why. Maybe because I can always just play it on my Wii U as is but I guess being all HD is the big upsale. Either way, TP, yay!

It needs to be on wii u. I have seen videos of TP and sky ward sword and it looks great in HD and 3ds already has time and mask remakes where Wii u only has Wind waker. If TP was remade on 3ds that would make it 3 to 1 in remakes with the 3ds having the 3. They need to spread it between 3ds and wii u and make it 2-2. If it is on 3ds I will be very mad because I always prefer console because the graphic jump would be bigger and I am not a big hand held player. Does any one know how long it was from the time wind waker HD was announced to the time it came out and time and mask? I think it was only like 1 or 2 months with mask. I am just wondering if they do announce TP HD how long after we may have to want before it is out.

Anyone getting Triforce Heroes? I'm interested in it, but not a huge fan of online stuff.

I'm not. My Nintendo purchases are pretty much Xenoblade X. Yoshi may not happen after all.

I got Yoshi paid off and picking it up tomorrow. Triforce is a HUGE maybe right now. Yokai Watch intrigues me, so we'll see about that one. Xenoblade is number one on my nintendo list right now for this year.

I'm getting it. I'm sure it'll be fun even single player.
