As soon as Nintendo announced the Twilight Princess HD + amiibo package yesterday, Amazon and Best Buy immediately made the game available for pre-order. Availability last for about half a day before both retailers went out of stock. As of writing, pre-order deal for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD + amiibo Figure is back in stock at GameStop (use coupon SAVER to get free shipping and waive the $3.99 S/H charge).

Both Best Buy and GameStop are of course charging the full list price with no indication that you’ll receive any further pre-order bonuses. Even Best Buy’s usual $10 rewards certificate is missing in action, although if you have GCU membership should still be able to get the 20% off discount offered. New Book Details The Localization Of The Legend Of Zelda. November 28, 2015 . 5:30pm

Legends of Localization Book 1: The Legend of Zelda details the differences between the English and Japanese versions of the game.
[YT]1UWBbzxshlo[/YT]

How do you fancy a book about the localization of the original The Legend of Zelda? Fangamer has published exactly that with Legends of Localization Book 1: The Legend of Zelda. It’s available right now for $29.

It has been written by professional language localizer Clyde "Tomato" Mandelin who has worked on Kingdom Hearts II, Attack on Titan, One Piece, and is involved with the unofficial Mother 3 translation.

This is to be the first in a series of “Legends of Localization” books that looks at the differences between the English and Japanese versions of classic games. It’s a series that is derivative of Mandelin’s work on his website.

This Legend of Zelda-focused book goes into differences in the graphics, audio, and even secret tricks that were removed from the English version. It also includes a look at the various Zelda re-releases to see how the localization has changed over the years.

The Legend Of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ Update Adds Den Of Trials, Outfits, Stamps And More Friendly TokensDecember 1, 2015 . 10:00am

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ December 2 update gives people at least four more reasons
to traverse dungeons with friends again

A rather large update for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes was among the announcements made during the November Nintendo Direct, and tomorrow the update will go through that adds all of the additional items and improvements to the game. Nintendo has revealed all the details about almost every addition coming to the Nintendo 3DS game, so people can be prepared and look for what’s being added.
The biggest addition is the Den of Trials. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ new location is a dungeon with 30 levels to it, instead of the traditional four. Unlike the other dungeons’ floors, each level in this area also gets more difficult.

It is joined by two new outfits. One is Linebeck’s Uniform, inspired by the captain of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass’ Lineback, owner of the ship Link uses throughout the game. He was something of a pirate, which carries over to the costume as it allows Link to see inside closed chests. The other costume that can be crafted after the update is the Fierce Deity Armor, inspired by Link’s form in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Just as in the other game, putting the outfit on allows him to shoot beams from his sword. As with all The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ costumes, this means new Miiverse Stamps to accompany them.

The other changes are best described as quality of life fixes for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. People can now blacklist a teammate who has abandoned the game by tapping their Hero Panel after they’re gone. You’ll also fill out a brief questionnaire before being matched up for online play, to help group people with similar playstyles.

Completionists will be pleased to know that it will be possible to get Friendly Tokens from a Hytopian vendor after beating the game. Previously, Friendly Tokens were only available after participating in a Local or Download Play session with someone who you hadn’t played The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes with before, and 8 were needed to create the Tri Suit and Timeless Tunic.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ 2.0.0 update, which adds all of these additional features, will be available for Nintendo 3DS owners on December 2. People who want to keep playing online will have to download the update in order to continue doing so.

Linkle May Show Up In Future The Legend of Zelda Games. December 9, 2015 . 8:30am

During a recent interview, Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma stated, “I’m sure we will keep her in mind when thinking about future titles.”

Linkle made quite a stir back when she was revealed to be a character in the upcoming Hyrule Warriors Legends. However, it is a possibility that she could appear in future Zelda games.

During a recent interview with IGN, Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma stated, “I’m sure we will keep her in mind when thinking about future titles.”

Here is some more of what Aonuma had to say in regards to Linkle:

“I had a chance to give feedback on Linkle during development, but the satisfying action of using a crossbow, which we developed for the spinoff title Link’s Crossbow Training, was implemented this time completely by Koei Tecmo. It may feel a little different from other titles in the franchise, but she doesn’t feel out of place at all in the world of the Zelda games.”

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 26th, 2016, and in Europe and North America on March 25th.

Hyrule Warriors Legends Footage Shows Its Gameplay For Starters. January 8, 2016 . 5:00am
Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress Ruriko Aoki shared the latest on the upcoming 3DS title Hyrule Warriors Legends with a look at some gameplay footage

Koei Tecmo producer Yosuke Hayashi and voice actress Ruriko Aoki shared the latest on the upcoming 3DS title Hyrule Warriors Legends with a look at some gameplay footage.
[YT]wnXdBlLXrAY[/YT]
The footage starts at around the 1:55 mark of the video, where Ruri Aoki, who says she’s spent at least a several thousand hours The Legend of Zelda games, gives us a basic look at how the game plays along with details from the producer.

While most of the footage is to show off its basics for newer players, we get a good look at some gameplay, including some of the characters in action and the King Dodongo boss fight.

Towards the end of the video they demonstrate the Cucco appearance in the game, and what happens if you attack it. We all know what happens afterwards. Hayashi jokingly scolds Aoki and says that that’s what happens when you pick on Cucco. That said, he encourages players to try attacking it for themselves.

Hyrule Warriors Legends will release in Japan on January 21, and North America and Europe on March 25, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.

In the past sever years when have we gotten are first derect of the year? I am wondering if the first one this year may give use more info about TP HD and even Zelda wii u with this now being the year of the 30 year anniveriste.

Methinks we'll probably get a Direct the first week or so of February.

Sounds about right. FE should be coming out next month, right?

Yeah FE Fates comes out Feb 19th. Early Feb sounds right for a Direct. They need to preview 2016 for Nintendo fans.

For any of y'all that have Amazon Prime the new 20% off of Preorders is pretty damn great. I just pre-ordered the Twilight Princess HD amiibo bundle. After taxes it was about $51 which is so much better than the $60 I'd pay before.
