Hey i just found out that apparently there was a Special Edition of Spider-Man #75 released a long time ago, but is no longer in print, where there were 14 extra pages added to the issue?? Has anybody read this? What were in those 14 extra pages?

It was probably concept art and scripts. i think normally when theres a special edition of somthing it just involves a few extras but nothing in terms of story is added.

Actually, those 14 pages are posted here, a bunch of pages back, they are of Ben's funeral, and more of his fight with Norman.

So, ok... with Brand New Day, Ben is still alive. He's out there. Thats the good news. The bad news is... all of heroic stuff he did, the whole Clone Saga... never happened.

clone saga did happen theres already been a reference to clones has there not? we just dont know how it played out....presuably ben never became spider-man and remained the scarlet spider as pete only went to portland because mj was preggo

You are right spidey-dude! But Peter mentioned that HE tired the blue hoodie thing.

I hope Ben was still Spider-Man at some point for whatever reason Peter wanted to quit. Maybe during the time where Peter thought he was a clone he went into exile calmly instead of backhanding MJ. Then Ben was killed and he came back. But really. I hope is somehow still alive.

Who said that? Do the other authors and editors know that? Until it is mentioned in a book it's still possible they bring Ben back with ease, and it wouldn't be the first time someone changed his mind.

So I am still hoping!

Another clone nod in the issue of ASM before this one... where Spider-man wishes he had the aid of clones or a helpful Skrull. So... if he is wishing for the help of clones that probably means he doesn't hate them... which means Ben probably didn't happen.

On that note, I think I managed to collect EVERY Ben appearance. Every full issue, single panel, random flashback... everything. Test me with your knowledge, if you know of a random on panel appearance by Ben that you think might not be known to me, let me know, but I'm fairly certain I have EVERYTHING. It's been a good hunt.

That sounds like you're implying that Peter hates Ben. Uhhh... why would Peter hate Ben? Peter loves Ben. He said so himself in 'Revelations'. I haven't seen whatever issue you're referring to, but God knows how you came to that assumption. I think even the Spider-group said the clone saga was still in continuity, but Ben was still dead. And didn't Peter just reference the Scarlet Spider costume a few issues ago?

Well, the simple fact that while he did like Ben a great deal and regarded him as a brother, clones have brought no end of trouble to his life. PLUS Peter was the one who had the biggest issue with Clor in Civil War, if you'll remember the panel with Clor and Peter locking eyes and Peter going right to Stark about it.

And no, I wasn't implying Peter hates Ben.
