I think the beard and long locks work in Kaine's favor, because it partially hides his gnarly scars. If he gets a cut and a shave, he's going to look even worse. But that close-up on the razor definitely indicates he's going to do *something* with it.

I'm also not liking what's going on with Kaine, and what it looks like they are ret-conning, and about to do with him...
