what do you mean by "most" of the action figures? As far as I'm aware the KB exclusive figure is the only one that doesnt. But the 5" overpower figure, the 10" figure the 12" figure and the minimates figure all have the spider symbol on the back

yeah still you never know. some people might like the idea of playing as our favorite clone right out of the gate. Gotta say though I am in love with this character model of the scarlet spider. If someone ever finds a way to transfer this character model into the Spider-Man: WOS game I will be one happy little camper.

Can anyone tell me why Marvel remakes the Clone Saga, Why make the game SD with the Scarlet Spider custom available??...If you want him to stay dead then quit bringing him up. I'm sick of Marvel pulling my chain when it comes to Ben......and why do they continue to bring back Kaine. How many times he's died yet they find a way to bring him back???

He's on the Avengers/New Avengers/Soon to be helping the Fantastic 4....3 whatever, you can't tell me there's not plenty of chances to put Ben in there somewhere. IF you can have MVP clones/clone in the Iron Spider suit swinging around you can have Ben Reilly!

Well, my guess is that Marvel is just trying to throw a hardcore fan base a bone, that's all. Honestly, they could just go back to ignoring Ben Reilly in every way possible. Either way I'm sure it's no skin off their backs.

I'm glad that they acknowledge the character now. Him being in the video game is a great move. You possibly could have the average video game player buy the game...see Scarlet Spider...and go, "Who is this?". He/she does some research and it peaks their interest. Maybe they buy one of the Clone saga hardcovers. Maybe it makes them a fan of Ben Reilly. Maybe it helps spark a larger fan interest in the character leading to the bringing BACK of Ben Reilly. You shouldn't knock it. Be glad that they are showing him off.

When everyone was going nuts with smiley-faces a few pages back and talking about Ben Reilly coming back as a foregone conclusion because some Marvel hack lied and said "we're working on" bringing him back, I was the only one who cautioned against getting hopes too high.

Well... I'll wait and see before having a fangasm. Been let down many times before.

Hate to say it, but I told you. Ben's never coming back. Sorry, guys. Wish it wasn't true, but it is. Best we can hope for is more untold tales or maybe an appearance in a book like 'Exiles'.

I wouldn't agree with that. Believe me, if Bucky can come back, Ben can come back. They just need a writer who comes to them with an awesome idea.

Now, I don't ever remember hearing Dan Slott say that he was a big fan of him (or if he has strong feelings either way), so I don't really see anything like that in the near future. And anyone who wants to bring him back has to overcome a big obstacle in undertanding why he was trotted out in the first place: to replace the then-current Spidey with a newer, fresher one. Anyone who would want to bring him back would have to find a reason. The thing that Ben Fans seem to always bring up (even the ones that hated the clone saga) is that they loved the "brother" aspect that it brought to Pete. So that might be something they could work with. Or morph it into the Evil Twin thing(maybe not evil, but more badass). But they would have to find him his own niche, so he could be his own character. You really can't have two of the same character running around.

And, more importantly, the last few years have seen big changes in the Spidey world (putting him on the Avengers, new powers, splitting him and MJ) and sounds like there are more to come (a possible FF stint, new toys, etc) Even if they wanted to, I think bringing Ben back now would be too much.


Have heart Ben fans, all it takes is one writer who has a cool idea, and one EIC who wants to bump the sales.

Yeah we'll see. I mean this past year was a pretty random Ben push with the current continuity arc, the Clone Saga Mini and the Web of Spider-Man shorts. Out of nowhere. Do we honestly expect someone to have the talent at Marvel to Bring Ben back to life and not make it totally crap? Is Brubaker on ASM? No. Guggenheim... It was nice that he threw Ben into a story for his swansong... but it was not a good story. There is still always a One Day in the future for Ben to come back. With the right writer. Remember it took like... 14 years to get Ben an APPEARANCE. Anything is possible.

If they can have 2 Spider-Women , And MVP Clone in the iron spider suite, Kaine, oh and spider man on multiple teams...there's room. You have some many possibilities with this One More Day arc that scrambled Spidey's world.

Just look at Marvel for a moment you have two of the following

Wolverine (Draken & X23)
Captain America BUCKY! (Steve Rogers)
Iron Man (War Machine)
A THOUSAND HULKS!

just give me one Scarlet Spider please
