He was both, it wasn't a retcon. In interviews they even explained that John Stewart may make machine guns and weapons because he was a marine, but he would will each piece and part to come together because he thinks like an architect.

He has lines, like schematics trailing him as opposed to kyle's "drawing stages" or Hal's fiery trail, or guy's sparks.

Well this sure explains how Hal's GL energy looked "fiery" in the trailer (giant fist and energy trail), alot of ppl didn't like it but it looked fine to me.

Anyone think they might have new footage of GL tommorrow as the oscars final credits roll? Seems like they always have new movie footage of the years big releases at the end of the show.

its not black or gray. its a dark dark green//blue color.

i like it. it gives the suit a more interesting contrast.

That is Norchavius but he is redesigned almost beyond recognition. Here is an article with the photo naming him.

It works better since they are called the Green Lantern Corps.

It's not a pure black, but it still evokes the correct imagery. It's bright green in the right areas, and very dark green in others.

All in all, I'd say the translation from comic to big screen was successful.

It makes more sense, sure, but I think it looks better with the black.
