IIRC, Green Lantern is suppose to be out on dvd and blu-ray in October. I swear that I read that.

Yeah, I thought I read that too, October 20th which falls on a THURSDAY... Most Region 1 (North America) DVDs are released on TUESDAYS. I'm hoping this Oct. date is for another region so us Americans will buy the DVD for the Holiday season. That would help give this possible franchise a push ahead.

God it just makes mr sad to see how Green Lantern turned out, critically and finically.

same

it's pretty clear we aren't going to get a sequel. I'm worried if we'll ever get to see green lantern on film again, which is a shame since it has enormous potential.

I hope WB doesn't back down on superheroes being their post-potter strategy.

They better not... it's more than obvious how many people love superhero movies, fans and public alike... it's just GL was less than awesome. Give another hero a go, and if that doesn't do great then I guess just focus entirely on Batman and Superman... since they're too stupid to go the Marvel route and make a huge cinematic universe, I don't really care about the rest of the league getting movies if they won't all be joined together with the same actors.

I hope it releases during the holiday season.

First day buyer. :o

The DVD? Looks like October...so they'll miss out on the holiday sales spike too.

Might as well stay consistent, no? :O

Oh well. Sooner I can get it is cool with me. Any word on a special edition of it?

Blu Ray for me. :D

The special edition will come with a mask for halloween. You're welcome. :D

Why? You wouldn't enjoy watching an entertaining, competently made Wonder Woman or Flash film unless there were plans for an entirely different film to be made years later?

That's crazy. I believe certain heroes can and should stand on their own. If they want to bring them together later that's fine, but I wish Iron Man 2 and Thor had actually been less SHIELD centric and just worried about building the world and tone that works best for the character.

Hasn't there been recent talk of a Wonder Woman film? That'd be awesome to see.

Kal- Pshhh, I already got the mask. I want the special edition to be in a Lantern shaped case that glows in the dark.

How groovy would that be?

They don't even know how to get Diana right in the comics, let alone a movie. I doubt Wonder Woman will be getting a movie any time soon.

And Thor wasn't SHIELD centric... at all. SHIELD in that movie was just some generic government agency interested in a man who fell from the sky and claimed to be a God. Makes sense whether it's a superhero movie or not.

Pretty good idea, actually. They should probably try to squeeze as much appeal from the kids as possible to make some sort of respectable sale with it...even if they use the actual disc as a coaster. :O

I'm betting the majority of that revenue is down to Cars 2 alone.

Ofcourse the vast majority of the sales are Cars related. A sequel ain't happening.

"But... but... there was a Hawkeye cameo!"

Sure. There's a whole lot more Cars 2 product, as well as a pre-existing market for Cars toys that hasn't gone away since the first movie.

It's kind of odd to me that Cars is the single most successful of the Pixar films for merchandising like that. Toy Story probably comes in second, but Cars seems to have had a much longer shelf life in the toy isle.

Haven't heard a word from him on it as far as I know.
