^Who gives a f**k?

I'd think people would get over RR getting the role by now. The movie has already been filmed and is coming out in a couple of months, if you don't like his hair line, don't watch the film. :whatever:

Anyway, it sounds cool to me. If the director can make me bordenline love a James Bond film he could make something special out of this flick.

for your information his hair is like that because he is filming a big action movie with denzel

It seems like Hal's uniform will be amazing - I'm just wanting to hear more about the other CGI, namely the aliens and the greenscreen work (since I'm not a fan of greenscreen unless it's done really well.)
i think it has a chance to look good in teh context of the movie. but since it will be alien it will automatic look strange by that i mean unrealistic. if we can accept that then i guess it could work.

Your attitude is terrible. I love reynolds in the role, I was simply stating a fact. [insert patronizing smiley]

All I want to see is the 2nd trailer quite honestly.

Hope someone at wondercon sneaks in a camera, although part of me doesn't because it might get some early bad word of mouth by youtube/IMDB idiots/trolls/insert blog comment section shouting "terrible CGI" purely based on the quality of the handheld camera rather.

It'll be a little frustrating for that but then that other side of me wants to see a leaked trailer too. :hehe:

yeah, that's true

I wonder if it leaks, if WB will just go ahead and release it in HD

the quality can make a tremendous difference when judging CG detail

They probably will they wouldn't want to increase a large sense of detachment with audiences.

WB understands that the Internet has really changed the game in terms of word of mouth. Thanks to things like Twitter people who are on there find out about things and then they tell there friends, family, peers etc and it spreads like a bad virus.

So they probably will if that were to happen.

The 2nd trailer should be pretty good since we have to wait all the way until May to see it :wall:.

Unless it gets leaked at WonderCon or the footage of the clips even. :O

^^^ True, we can hope for that to happen as well.

I never had a problem with the first trailer aside from the somewhat boring, by-the-numbers way it was cut and presented. Anyone with half a brain who follows movies should have known that an effects heavy film like this would be nowhere near completion at that stage. As usual, Chicken Little syndrome ruled the day.

Those clips sound epic. Looking forward to the next trailer with Thor.

I loved the sound of those clips. And glad to hear the positive reactions from those three. I now want to see a trailer. I want to hear Rush as Tomar Re badly. And I want to see Oa and Sinestro.

dnno1, all we are getting right now is a bunch of Twitters from people that would be more likely to like and bolster what is being shown. Even GI JOE got a some positive early reviews.

Bingo.

Online community is consisted of frankly the easiest lays. Once we start getting reactions from real people who don't follow movie-news religiously (AKA: non-nerds), then we can get an actual gage.

No. I am a big Green Lantern fan... and I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once.

I too really want to see much of him in the new trailer.

And some of a little Hector v Hal stuff.

Boy could I think of some dark parodies of those Holiday Inn Express commercials; one at an abortion clinic and another during the Holocaust come to (my sick) mind.

Why couldn't they just release the footage/trailer this weekend??? This isn't fair, everyone can't go to the Cons...FRAK!!!

I am waiting for that scene of Sinestro talking to the entire Corps and seeing all the classic lanterns in live action.

Hearing the people talk about it has gotten me even more amped for this. I cannot wait for the second trailer! :D

From our discussions here, it is making a little bit of sense to me. This is not the right time to release a trailer, since not a lot of folks are going to the movies (just look at the BO numbers these past two weeks). Around May, you are moving into the summer blockbuster period and "Thor" will be one of the biggest movies out that month. It would make a little more sense to release it then since you are more than likely to get more viewers of the second trailer. Another thing to consider is that if you bombard people with trailers, they might just get tired of seeing them and just get boored. The inital teaser might have been enough to make folks aware of the upcoming film and now there is time to refine your film and drop a better trailer later. I am sure that the studio was hedging on that. There are also new media, like Internet websites, Facebook, and Twitter that they could use to notify lots of people really fast and really cheap about updates. A lot of people thing that there is an urgency to put out another trailer because rival films like "Thor" and "Captain America" have, but this is not really a competition (the films do not release at the same time). What they really need to do is work on putting out a quality film and creating the buzz necessary to attract an audience and I belive they are doing that.

This is probably part of the reason why they don't want people filming theses screenings. The negative effects of piracy are deafening.
