I have this feeling that when the movie is out that people are either going to hate it or that they're going to think that it's decent (by that I don't mean 'good'). But I think that the story will be different when it comes to the Green Lantern fanbase.

HQ 'Green Lantern' Corps Poster (1600x2366)

High powered fist bump for the HQ. Now this is a poster

If this shows up in stores, I'm getting this sumb**** immediately.

GL using Mountain Dew to advertise is actually a very smart idea. People ****ing love Mountain Dew. It's a pretty overrated drink, but people go for it like it's Jesus holy blood or something.

I never had Mountain Dew. Or Dr. Pepper for that matter.

But I love myself some Coca-Cola.

It didn't occur to me before that the power ring is suppose to be on Sinestro's left hand.

sinestro.jpg
Although he was only occasionally portrayed as being left handed before.
Sinestro has pretty consistently been portrayed as being left handed since GL: Rebirth onward.

The word Sinister is derived from the Latin sinistr; meaning - on the left side, unlucky, inauspicious.

And it still does-
Definition of SINISTER
1. archaic : unfavorable, unlucky
2. archaic : fraudulent
3: singularly evil or productive of evil
4.a : of, relating to, or situated to the left or on the left side of something; especially : being or relating to the side of a heraldic shield at the left of the person bearing it
b : of ill omen by reason of being on the left

Tidbits and Spoilers about the movie.

  • The Star Sapphire crystal will appear.
  • There's a reference to "the prophecy" in the Book of Oa. Probably refering to the war between the Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps.
  • The ring speaks. When Hal first uses it, it says "Voice signature identified. Willpower registed. Ring online."
  • Kilowog's power ring makes a cannon-like "BOOM" sound, like in the comic books.
  • Hal's constructs include a gattling gun, a giant green hand, a dune buggy, an anti-aircraft gun, a F-18 jet, a sword, giant pulleys and much more.
  • Sinestro's trademark weapon is a double-edged Korugarian spear. He also makes a construct of Kilowog at one point.
  • The Guardians live in high towers near the Great Hall of Oa. Krona's tower is slightly toppled as a sign of his corruption at Parallax's hands.
  • During a battle scene, Hal's and Sinestro's power ring run out of energy, and Sinestro tells Hal to summon his battery from the pocket dimension. Hal says he doesn't know how to do it, and Sinestro asks him if Kilowog never taught him that. Hal says no and Sinestro gruffs before him and Hal unite their rings, opening a small wormhole from where Sinestro pulls his battery. Him and Hal both recharge on it. This is taken almost word-by-word from Geoff Johns' "Secret Origin.
  • During the final battle, Parallax tries to possess Hal, but fails. In the process, Hal has a vision of the future, where Coast City has been destroyed and he is the one to blame.
  • Hector Hammond tries to steal Hal Jordan's power ring, believing that it can cure his mutation, just as Parallax arrives. It consumes Hammond and tries to use the ring's energy, but fails and then tries to use Hal as a weapon to tap into the nearly unlimited powers of the Green Light of Willpower.

[blackout]The Kilowog construct is one of the most awesome moments of Secret Origins. [/blackout]

Mountain Dew? More like Mountain DON'T! Am I right, fellas? :awesome:

Anyone? ...... Is this thing on? *taps microphone*

I love it!! :awesome:

It's a shame they didn't give Boodikka more prominence. Bit of a guy's party up the front. But oh well, it looks pretty cool. Sinestro looks awesome.

You know that's how we roll. Girls have cooties, man.

Protocida, some dude over at cbm.com is calling b.s. on the stuff that you said, he calls himself 'Nephillim'.

"I've actually encountered Protocida before. he spammed the entire chat saying he had an exclusive, and just posted that same **** Mr.DCUniverse used to post. Trust me, the double edged spear thing has been around for a while, it was on the cover to that Wizard magazine where they previewed the toys, the one where we got that weird looking Stel. I call ********."

Not that I believe him though. I don't think that the dude understands that what you see from a movie toy line doesn't always make it into the movie that it's relevant to.

Allow me to explain.

Those tidbits were provided to me by someone who prefers not to be named, but said that there's no problem in sharing them with others, which I did. From my understanding, none of this was in the 2009 Script, and I don't know if it is in the toyline or not.

As for "flooding the chat", it basically refers to the Daily Blam chat. I went there to share some info that was posted were by an user - I forget his name - and later proved to be true by the WonderCon footage and other sources. The guys over there kept claiming that it was old news - which, as far as I'm concerned, weren't - and, as I have discovered, some people over there can get pretty aggresive when it comes to this kind of thing. So much that I never went to the place again.

It's that old deal: I trust the guy who told me this, and people can believe in it if they want to or not. I just want to say that several parts of it - like [BLACKOUT]the Guardians living in towers[/BLACKOUT] were passed to me before the WonderCon footage debuted, and it confirmed several of these details.

Sorry for the lenghty post. It's a pet peeve of mine hating to be called a liar. :yay:

Stop right there and never mention that site again.

I know that it's not to suppose to be talked about around this place, but really, I couldn't think of any other way to mention it without making it obvious (at the time). Saying it the way that I said it was the only solution that I was able to come up with.
